This Week’s Meditative Thought – Finding Peace Within

Throughout the month of June, we’ve been focusing on Recognizing The Divine – For Week 4 the focus is: Finding Peace Within

Have you heard the saying, “One minute they like you and the next they don’t”? Human perception is at times constantly shifting and the only thing that we can control is how we react or interact in a situation. The journey is to find peace during moments that seem to feel like they are out of our control. At times, it’s easier said than done, but serenity only comes from within and it happens when we shift our consciousness. When looking for peace, it will come when you stop fighting. The bottom line is that we cannot control what people say about us or the way they treat us; we can only find inner peace within ourselves.

Your Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, free yourself from the need to worry about what others think of you. When the urge arises, close your eyes, take a breathe and remind yourself, that the peace we seek is within and not what others think about you.

Skip’s Weekend Affirmation – Recognizing God Through Nature

I hope that you have had a chance this week to meditate on this week’s theme of Recognizing God Through Nature.  An affirmation is a wonderful way to reinforce the connection of taking in nature’s vibration, and be with Mother Earth;

So steal yourself away and… Just for this moment…just for this breath, I dance to the song of Mother Earth. Amen

Peace and Blessings,

-Skip

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Recognizing God Through Nature

Throughout the month of June, we’ll focus on the Recognizing The Divine – For Week 3 the focus is : Recognizing God Through Nature

Sometimes the greatest way to recognize God is through nature. When we are present in the vastness of God earth, we can feel the vibration the earth radiates. Unfortunately for many of us working in climate controlled offices with sealed windows makes nature a difficult thing to do. When was the last time you walked along beach and felt the sand between your toes? Or take in the fragrance of a wildflower or felt a blade of grass in your hands? I invite you to take the time to go into nature, a park, a botanical garden, etc.. and close your eyes, and hear God’s song. Take a deep breath, inhale nature’s vibration, and be with Mother Earth. Feel your connection to this planet. Allow the experience to shift your awareness of God, nature, and man’s unity. “Listen; the planet is singing a sweet song.”

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, play in nature. Go out for a walk with yourself,  family and/or friends and feel the vibration. It does not have to take long; it can take as little as 30 minutes. But just do it with the intention to commune with the vastness of God.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Take Time to …

Throughout the month of June, we’ll focus on the Recognizing The Divine – For Week 2 the focus is : Take Time to …

My friends, this week I want you to meditate on God’s invitation to finish the following statement; take time to…  What is it you need to take time to do? What has been neglected in the past month, six months, your life? Is there a practice that you need to spend more time with: A meditation, a prayer, a sacred text or listening, and need for quiet stillness? Maybe its taking time to fellowship with family and friends?  Maybe the call is to be more diligent at work?   We must remember that it is never too late to begin again and that everything we do is a direct reflection of God within our life.  When we neglect these truths in our life, we are neglecting God.

Your Spiritual Assignment:

This whole week, take time to… fill-in-the-blank.  Go into meditation and ask Spirit what you are neglecting in your life.  That is the one thing you need to do more of.

If you would like to share your “fill-in-the-blank” need, you can post it on the my facebook page.
