DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 1 – “Know Better”

Today’s Body Connection: Maya Angelo once said to Oprah Winfrey, We can only do better if we know better.” Transformation begins with awareness.  When we acknowledge the need to shift, a light is turned on within our consciousness.   It could be the first moment when we put on our shirt and it doesn’t fit, or maybe when our belts need an extra hole.  We can tell ourselves that the “dryer monster” purposely shrunk our jeans, or we’re a little bloated from all the water we drank, but we know better.  It’s time to get moving and stop making excuses. We know it’s time to do “put downs and push a ways.”  Put down the fork and push away from the table.  No more, “I did not know,” or “No one told me.”  Your inner self is telling you.  You know, but have just turned a blind eye to the problem.  Today is your day to transform your life and it begins with the awakening.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The answer is always the same: we have forgotten our connection to God.  Maya Angelo’s statement, “We can only do better if we know better,” is our pathway to transformation.  You are the master of your existence and only you can transform your life.  You have power within you, and you always have.  Transformation is an inside job that can only be achieved by you.  Once you begin to take responsibility for your life, you will see the growth.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, be the master of your existence and take charge of your life.  Take a moment before your practice, and own it.  You know better so you will do better.  Ask during your workout or you meditation, “How can I do better?”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I am the master of my destiny, and I am filled with infinite possibilities.  And so I am, and so I let it be.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 30 – “Life Is Good”

Today’s Body Connection:  “Life is good” is a spiritual principle indicating that our life comes from Source; therefore it is always good.  When we say this affirmation it is the expression of God in its fullness.  When our fitness regime appears to be challenging, we must remind ourselves that life is good.  Move and exercise from that awareness; your energy, attitude, and focus will be elevated and you will be inspired.  Motivation is a key factor when transforming your body-temple.  If we change our outlook, fitness and exercise becomes enjoyable.  If we can inspire ourselves as we work out, we can achieve anything. Remember, your life is what you say it is and the Universe always says yes.  So affirm that the life you live comes from a place of good and your experience will be good.

 

 

Today’s Meditative Thought:  We are what we say we are; our life is what we believe it to be.  If good is what we know to be true, then good is the only thing that is happening.  Can you remember a time when you were overwhelmed with adversity and then someone said the right thing to shift your vibration and perception?  I call it the vibratory takeover.  When we feel the energy of goodness and we allow it to take us over, there will always be a shift.  Today, remember that you can allow good to be your truth and that you are not bound to your situation.

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember life is good because we affirm that it is good.  On the top of every hour remind yourself that life is good.

 

 

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that good is my life and my life is good.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 29 – “Our Peaceful State”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, when the body feels good, we are free to experience a peaceful state of mind.  The mind, body, and spirit are connected as one; therefore one affects the other.  Whenever we feel the challenges of our body, our minds can work to compensate for or to overcome adversity.  When we feel uneasy, it’s time to meditate.  Let the stillness overtake the pain, allowing peace to be your state of being.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  We are meant to coexist with each other and share love.  Our peaceful state is a harmonious vibration that lives within us all. Remember, when you are in conflict with your loved ones, neighbors, or friends, you are really in conflict with yourself.  It is time to remind yourself that the solution is always Love; self-love.  Until we find our personal peaceful state of being, how can we find peace with anyone else?

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, cultivate peace within yourself.  Take the time to meditate on the word “peace” and what qualities come to mind.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that the answer is always “Love.”  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, it is your willingness that sets your transformation into action.  Whenever you train your body, there must be a willingness to be stronger.  Give yourself permission to be healthy and whole.  Use your go-ahead to catapult yourself into the transformation.  Today, as you work out, say your manta, “I give myself permission to be whole.”  Be willing to eat the best foods that support your life of fitness.  When you allow yourself to be fit and healthy the Universe will support you to the fullest. Your yes affirms who and what you are, so, today, say yes.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Remember, allowing the energy of transformation is always stronger than our intentions. When we give ourselves the permission to be okay, we will be.  Not until we say yes will the shift become real.  Open your mind and free your thoughts; you have the authority to be the highest expression of the Universe.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember to be willing.  It is our willingness that is the key that unlocks the door of transformation. Your mantra for today is, “I give myself permission to be okay.”  Try it and than journal about it.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to be willing to transform.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 27 – “Law of Circulation”

Today’s Body Connection:  Your body-temple is the perfect expression of the Law of Circulation: what freely goes out always comes back to you.  You cannot exhale without an inhale.  During cardiovascular training, the harder you work, the more you will experience this law in action.  The more you increase your efforts, the deeper you must breathe to increase your lung capacity.  The more energy you exert while lifting weights, the more energized you feel when you’re done. Remember, you are spiritual law in the flesh.  During your training, connect with the Universal Presence; be mindful of the energy that circulates.

Today’s Meditative Thought: We cannot breathe in, without breathing out.  Allow your spirit to freely circulate.  What you send out is what you will receive.  This is the law of the Universe.  Remember, only send out only the good stuff.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember the “law of circulation” is happening every moment.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that what I send out is God’s love; therefore that is what I receive.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 26 – “God Is Bigger than Your Appetite”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, God is bigger than any craving.  When we trust our higher power to support our intentions, miracles happen.  Sometimes, when our intentions seem impossible, we must turn to a divine force to see us through.  Live above the facts and the situation.  Shift your consciousness from how much weight you need to lose to how perfect your inner being is.  There is a divine space in you that can never be harmed or changed.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Allow God to be bigger than your problems.  We can turn everything over to the Universe and allow it to work on our behalf.  Nothing is too great for God to handle.  When the road of life gets bumpy, we can breathe easy; God’s got this one.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember to make God bigger than anything in your life.  When a thought comes to mind, right after say, “God’s bigger than that.”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to be bigger, and shine brighter, than my paradigm.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  How many times have you talked yourself out of a training session simply by saying, “I can’t.” If you say you can’t do something, you are right.  The truth is, you can if you are willing.  Each workout begins with the simple belief that it is ‘accomplishable.’  When you begin to trust yourself to cut calories, you will begin to eat mindfully.  When you free yourself from the “I can’t” attitude, everything is possible.  Remember, your positive attitude will make every workout enjoyable.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Allow old habits to be put to death.  In yoga, the last pose is the “corpse pose.”  We die in the practice because it is finished; time to let it go.  What are you holding on to that is dying a long, slow death?  Free yourself, then raise up a new creation, with a new purpose.  Remember, the power is within you.  You can free yourself by letting go of the people, places, things, thoughts, and habits that no longer serve you.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that which is dying, is dying for a reason: it no longer serves you. Time to identify what you need to let go.  Start with the body-temple.  If your language and thoughts are not kind and loving, it is time to release them.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to free myself with Love.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 24 – “The Right Place”

Today’s Body Connection:  Any place is the right place to work out.  You don’t need a gym to participate in a physical practice.  Don’t allow your preconceived ideas of how workouts should be to stop your participation. What we see on the TV or in videos are only 10% of the choices for training the body.  Healthy living, fitness, and wellness can be done anywhere.  Commit to doing something every day for ten to 20 minutes and your life will expand.  Dedicate at least one meal a day, if not all three, for healthy and mindful eating. Set the intention to make water your No. 1 source for quenching your thirst. Expand your options by increasing your awareness; anywhere and everywhere is the right place for health and fitness.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The scripture says, “Take off your shoes; you are standing on Holy ground.”  The place you stand is sacred, not because it is designated as such, but because you bring the sacred with you; you only need to be aware of it.  Everywhere you are God is in the mix.  Everywhere you go you bring the Divine.  Right this very moment claim the place you sit, stand, or lie as Holy ground.  You are the light; therefore you are always in the right place.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember you are in the right place, space, and time for transformation; you only need to allow it to happen.  When you find yourself in the way, trying to make something happen, step back, take a breath, and turn it over.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that I am in the right place, right now.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  When you say yes to health and fitness you will inspire the world.  When you lift yourself up, others will follow.  Set the intention to affect others with how you live your life.  You don’t have to say anything; just live your new life.  When you walk into the gym, walk proud, like you are on a mission.  When you run or walk in your neighborhood, do it with gusto and purpose.  During your training session with your trainer, the person next to you is copying the workout.  What you do today can and will inspire the world to be fit.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Once we have said yes to the lessons and transformation, energy becomes contagious.  People will be attracted to your radiant power.  They will ask you, “What have you been doing?”  Your family and friends will want to know what is so different about you.   Be aware that it is the divine light of God that is the attraction, their divine light connecting with your divine light that is so divine.  This is known as the power of “Namaste,” the God in you recognizes the God in me.   Allow it to flow and be free.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember we were created to inspire others to be great. Set the intention to radiate inspiration.  Observe your surroundings and journal your experience.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that I am transforming my world.  Amen

 Today’s Body Connection:  How do you live your life?  What do you represent?  Is your way of life an example of healthy living?  We make choices every day; and people are watching.  Once we have said yes to health and fitness, it’s time to become the yes.  In yoga we talk about the becoming of each pose as opposed to the doing.  Health and fitness is more than something we do; it’s a lifestyle, a way of living.  Today is the day we change the way we see exercise; we do it because we are it.  Be the face of health; it’s time to walk the talk.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Remember, you have said yes to a journey of transformation and this road requires a commitment to walk the talk.  When we download, and commit to living the shift, our existence has meaning.  One mantra to help anchor our minds is, “I do because I am.”  We love because we are love.  We bring the peace because we are peace in the flesh.  We exercise because we are the healthy, divine expression of God.  Remember, our actions should be the reflection of who we are.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that you are the image and likeness of God; therefore you are amazing.  As you move through your day, be mindful of who and what you are.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that I am the image and likeness of God and I am amazing.  And so I am.  Amen
