This Week’s Meditative Thought –Transformational Commitment

Transformation requires commitment. For next month, I’ll focus our meditative thoughts committed to the practice of loving. Commit to blessing everyone you see. Commit to activating Joy within your life. Commit to something greater than yourself.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week commitment is the key. Journal about your level of commitment; what does it look like? What does it mean to you? How far are you willing to commit? Be honest and free yourself from false ideas and expectations. Your commitment must be honest. “Let your yes be yes.”

This Week’s Meditative Thought – With God’s Eyes

If you step back and I mean really, really back, the Universe with it’s millions of stars, dust, comets, planets of every size, shape and form makes our human flaws and mishaps appear quite small, I mean, really really small. Yet, they both exist and in fact these flaws and mishaps appear much bigger in our lives. Let that sink in for a second.

It’s amazing how we can grasp the enormity of the Universe, yet still feel love, peace, order, balance, prosperity or the lack of these things. It shows me that within us that there is a bigger spirit that unifies these gifts into the larger context of the Universe.

It also confirms to me that this love, joy, peace, order, balance, prosperity, and abundance are as much God’s essence as the physical attributes that make up the Universe we live in. In fact love permeates much deeper within the Universe than the brightest galaxies or planets.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

This week remember to see yourself within the context of God’s Universe. In everything you do, move with the Love of God shining as bright as a star. You are blessed, so be mindful of the this.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – God Revealing

This week’s Meditative Thought revolves around Love and in God’s revealing nature. It has been said that love is the answer to all things and we can do anything with this love of the Universe. In Christopher Nolan’s movie Interstellar there’s a beautiful dialogue between Matthew McConaughey’s character; Cooper and Anne Hathaway’s; Brand about Love’s power.

“Love isn’t something that we invented. It’s observable. Powerful. It has to mean something. Maybe it means something more, something we can’t yet understand. Maybe it’s some evidence, some artifact of a higher dimension that we can’t consciously perceive. Love is the one thing that we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space.”

I LOVE this scene as it places our connection to this high vibration of Love that fuels every essence of our lives. Know that the power that is within you is divine and full of grace.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, remember that you are God’s love expressing itself uniquely as you. Every moment you can remind yourself that you are expressing the love of God.

Many blessings and have a terrific week.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – You Are the Light of God

Happy Labor Day! I hope that you all have been enjoying the long holiday weekend. I know I have. This week we kick-off with a focus on letting your inner light shine.  Remember, you are a gift to this planet and that the Universe is keyed to support that gift. It’s what allows us to step out and boldly approach your destiny. Cultivate God’s light through your gifts and talents and let your light shine.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

Throughout this week remember that you are the light of God and that you are meant to let that light shine.  Take a breath, be still, and contemplate what it means to shine your light as God. For the next week; morning, noon, and night take five to ten minutes to meditate and cultivate the light that is you.

Many blessings and have a terrific week.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Keeping your spiritual Sabbath

Keeping your spiritual Sabbath can be one of the most important practices we can do, but at times difficult with our lives today filled with technology. Yet it is so important to rest in the work that we have done, trust, and breakaway to nurture the spirit. When we surrender to the idea that the spirit needs a Sabbath or rest there is nothing else that needs to be done, then we become the divine.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

This week pick a Sabbath for your spiritual work and become the living “Ah-ha” moment. All this week, ask the question, “What must I do to embody the character of God?” Today, become the spiritual work you have said yes to.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Ready To Surrender

This week’s meditative thought is a challenge on the readiness of surrendering the control of your life. Are you ready to surrender? Are you ready to begin and experience the riches and treasures of the universe? As human beings, resistance is part of our DNA and to “surrender” seems counter intuitive. But growth begins when you turn your will and the care of your life over to a power greater than yourself, there is a freedom to relax, a freedom from the need to make “it” happen. God is in control of all things; we only need to step out of the way and allow him to do the God thing.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, meditate to turn your life over to a power greater than yourself. Through prayer and meditation, cultivate your oneness with God. Take time in the stillness, clear your mind of external thoughts, and with every breath repeat the mantra, “I am one with God.”

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Present to See The Divine

Throughout the month of June, we’ve been focusing on Recognizing The Divine
– We’ll end the month with : Present to See The Divine

The Divine can only be experienced in the present. If we can remember to be awake and aware in the now moment, we have access to great power. True greatness is happening around us right now; it only needs to be recognized. Most of the time, our ego, or what I call the ”little self,“ lives in fear of the future or the regret of the past. The past is gone, and the future never comes. The only thing we have is the now, where we have unlimited source of the Divine. We must open up our spirit or third eye to see the spirit of God, which can only be accessed right were we are, in this very moment.

Your Spiritual Assignment:

This week, be present. Actively stay in the now. Notice when you are in the past or the future, than bring yourself back to the present.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Finding Peace Within

Throughout the month of June, we’ve been focusing on Recognizing The Divine – For Week 4 the focus is: Finding Peace Within

Have you heard the saying, “One minute they like you and the next they don’t”? Human perception is at times constantly shifting and the only thing that we can control is how we react or interact in a situation. The journey is to find peace during moments that seem to feel like they are out of our control. At times, it’s easier said than done, but serenity only comes from within and it happens when we shift our consciousness. When looking for peace, it will come when you stop fighting. The bottom line is that we cannot control what people say about us or the way they treat us; we can only find inner peace within ourselves.

Your Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, free yourself from the need to worry about what others think of you. When the urge arises, close your eyes, take a breathe and remind yourself, that the peace we seek is within and not what others think about you.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Recognizing God Through Nature

Throughout the month of June, we’ll focus on the Recognizing The Divine – For Week 3 the focus is : Recognizing God Through Nature

Sometimes the greatest way to recognize God is through nature. When we are present in the vastness of God earth, we can feel the vibration the earth radiates. Unfortunately for many of us working in climate controlled offices with sealed windows makes nature a difficult thing to do. When was the last time you walked along beach and felt the sand between your toes? Or take in the fragrance of a wildflower or felt a blade of grass in your hands? I invite you to take the time to go into nature, a park, a botanical garden, etc.. and close your eyes, and hear God’s song. Take a deep breath, inhale nature’s vibration, and be with Mother Earth. Feel your connection to this planet. Allow the experience to shift your awareness of God, nature, and man’s unity. “Listen; the planet is singing a sweet song.”

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, play in nature. Go out for a walk with yourself,  family and/or friends and feel the vibration. It does not have to take long; it can take as little as 30 minutes. But just do it with the intention to commune with the vastness of God.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Take Time to …

Throughout the month of June, we’ll focus on the Recognizing The Divine – For Week 2 the focus is : Take Time to …

My friends, this week I want you to meditate on God’s invitation to finish the following statement; take time to…  What is it you need to take time to do? What has been neglected in the past month, six months, your life? Is there a practice that you need to spend more time with: A meditation, a prayer, a sacred text or listening, and need for quiet stillness? Maybe its taking time to fellowship with family and friends?  Maybe the call is to be more diligent at work?   We must remember that it is never too late to begin again and that everything we do is a direct reflection of God within our life.  When we neglect these truths in our life, we are neglecting God.

Your Spiritual Assignment:

This whole week, take time to… fill-in-the-blank.  Go into meditation and ask Spirit what you are neglecting in your life.  That is the one thing you need to do more of.

If you would like to share your “fill-in-the-blank” need, you can post it on the my facebook page.
