This Week’s Meditative Thought – The Life Spectacular

Throughout the month of June, we’ll focus on the Recognizing The Divine – Week 1 The Life Spectacular.

What brings you peace of mind? What inspires you to live the life you know you are meant to live? What is your life spectacular? Recognize that the life spectacular is the power that keeps you moving toward greatness is God.

We were created in the image of the Universe; therefore divinely inspire to express every quality that God is. As we peruse the “Life Spectacular,” love, joy, grace, and peace fuel your every step. Go after your dreams with the power and passion that the Kingdom of God has given you; it is in you right now.

Go and restore this world; step out with the knowing that you are supported and you are called to fulfill this mission.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

Today, live “the life spectacular”.  Do what brings you peace and restores your journey. Make a list of all the practices that fuel your life. Be willing to commit to expressing God within. All this week, step out and share God.

Have a blessed week,

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Known But To God

Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God.

As someone who has served in the U.S. Armed Forces, I was an airman in the U.S. Air Force, I want to meditate this week on one of the most sacred ritual of the military on this Memorial Day. The guarding of the Tomb of the Unknowns at the Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington D.C.  This video from PBS captures the beautiful ceremony in all its splendid movements of this unique and elaborate ritual known as the “Changing of the Guard”..

Sentinels pace back and forth in front of the Tomb, taking 21 steps north and south, and standing for periods of 21 seconds at either side — 21 symbolizing the military’s “highest honor” of the 21-gun salute. While on duty, the soldiers do not wear rank insignia, as to not outrank the Unknowns. The guards are relieved at the top of every hour, except during visitor hours in the summer months, when the guard is changed on the half hour.

Peace,

This Week’s Meditative Thought

“Who Are You?”

This week take a moment and contemplate “who you are” as our meditative thought of the week. I’m a believer that we all are the creation of God and as such, we are a complete and perfect expression of the Universe. It’s through God that we were created perfectly, with nothing to add. This means that we have been born with everything necessary before coming into this existence.

You brought everything with you to fulfill your destiny; that is how God planned it even during times when our life looks less than perfect. Perfection is who we are, not what we do, not what we buy, nor the car we drive. It’s the here and now.

Your Spiritual Assignment

This week, take the time in your meditative thought to contemplate about who are you. Cultivate your meditation time and connect with your higher self. Take the time as well to journal about what you find.

Have a blessed week,

Skip Jennings

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Embracing the Shift

Embracing the Shift

Who hasn’t been through the difficulties that life presents us? New beginnings always require the act of embracing the shift, embracing the change. Sometimes these changes are are voluntary at other times they feel forced.  As we integrate our awareness into God’s spirit, we are challenged to become new and that act activates new insight into our spiritual growth. Live from a perspective of an openness and a willingness to shift and watch your life expand beyond recognition. Say yes to the shift; say yes to your new beginnings; say yes today.

Your Spiritual Assignment:

This week’s assignment, do everything that will embrace your shift. Whenever you find yourself resisting, surrender to it. The ego does not like change and it will do everything it can to stop it. Be willing to release the resistance and fall into the arms of transformation.

Peace and blessings,

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Letting Go to Be More

Letting Go to Be More

This week we’ll dive into the reasons for letting go of what no longer services us and to be more of our true selves. When we hold on to the old ways of living there’s no room for the New. Before rebuild a new spiritual consciousness, we must clear out the clutter of our minds. The action of letting go is a sacred practice that is required on a daily basis.

Transformation is the most challenging journey we face within our lives. Letting go of what we are used to takes courage and determination. We must be willing to self-examine our lives and see what is no longer serving our journey. All this week, identify what is holding you down, let it go, and begin to fly. A new beginning must start with an ending to an old way of life.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

Today, journal about why you continue to do something that is not for your highest good. There is something about this proverbial “ball and chain” that is serving you, but not fulfilling you. Go into a deep contemplation and be willing to hear what is holding you back. This is an honest conversation between you and the Universe.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual Awakening

Skip Jennings-GlassesThis week’s we’ll focus on the quest for spiritual awakening. This is especially true if you are just going through the motions of life.  Remember that everything that we do is an opportunity to awaken our awareness to God that lives within us all. Through contemplating and meditating we set the spiritual intention of living and help ignite the flame of truth and our life begins to have meaning. Every time we set the intention to grow spiritually, a new beginning is taking place and thus begins the knowledge of our divine self, our higher self.

Spring is the perfect time to allow yourself the journey of divine exploration. Allow it to be your #1 priority and let the old way of just surviving fall away and embrace your spiritual awakening. There is a power greater than you that lives within your spirit and it is ready to be awakened. Set the intention to live to your greatest potential; awaken to a new life that is fulfilling and meaningful.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, take the time to cultivate your life purpose. Set into a daily practice with the focus to expand your consciousness.   Sit in meditation with only the Omni purpose to connect with Source.

Peace and Blessings,

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Spring Into Action

Skip Jennings SportSpring Into Action

This week’s meditative thought revolves around this new season of renewal that is spring. “Spring into action” is a term I use a lot during this time to set in place practice that empowers transformation and achieve your goals. This should be the time that motivates and inspires you to move toward your goals.

To begin with, embrace a new way of thinking, living, and moving through this world. Stop thinking about a life that WAS and become the life we Desire AND Need.  I know that many of us may be bogged by indecisions and failures that haunt us and that to weigh us down like a ball & chain. I say, stop the nonsense, take today to embrace a great idea, intention, and to make it a goal to create the action. We must become what we desire. Did you know that baseball players that hits the ball 30% of the time are considered great! That means that they miss 66% of the time. So let’s begin tearing-off the shackles and begin swinging. You’ll connect.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

All this week, let’s connect and act as if what you desired is done. Cultivate the attitude that all your poetical prospects are accomplished and prosperous. Take the time to write it down in journal about how it feels to have success in all your goals. Write about it as if it was completed and fulfilled.

Peace and Blessings,

This Week’s Meditative Thought – What Is Prayer

photo-1414073875831-b47709631146What is Prayer

Prayer practice is a consistent activity that helps us to builds a strong spiritual awareness and helps us expand our faith creating a connection with God. Our greatest gift is the ability to connect with our higher self where true power truly is. Our worship and communion to the Universal Presence remind us that we are alive and living with a purpose. Prayer is the invocation or invitation to spend time with Love, Joy, Bliss, and Divine Happiness. When we feel our life is out of balance, try prayer..

Your Spiritual Assignment:

This week begin your prayer practice. Set the intention daily to connect and don’t make a move until you have asked your higher self the question “Is this for my betterment?”

Have a blessed week,

This Week’s Meditative Thought–The Elevation of Love

Energy of Lovegirl-flying

This week’s focus is on the Elevation of love. In our busy worlds it’s easy to forget that our natural state of being is that of Love. It dwells deep inside and strives to expand,to be more, to know more, and to share more.  If we allow ourselves to be immersed in this  love, we will find that our lives are elevated to a new level. Strive to gain that elevation and enlightenment. We have come into this planet as part of the divine and thus to know our divine selves. The Elevation of love is our jump, our journey to this greatness.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment

What stops you from flying? What stops you from reaching for the stars? The first step in achieving your goals is recognizing that nothing is impossible. Today, write an affirmation that reinforces “All things are possible.” This can become your new mantra. This can be your motto.

This Week’s Meditative Thought – Remember to Remember

remember-to-remember-mediativeWaking up is one thing, but staying awake is a completely different practice. As we approach the end of the first month of the year, we’ll tackle the theme of Remember to Remember for true change.

Remembering to remember our divine self can be more challenging than experiencing “Ah-Ha” moments. Each and every day there are eye-opening insights that activate evolution, but then comes the action required to implement true change.  Once we begin the journey to shift, we must continue the work in order to remember.  This could come from prayer, meditation, sacred study, fellowship, and self-contemplation.  Set the intention to “remember to remember” every day.

For this week’s Remember to Remember Action Plan we want to set the intention to stay awake. A quick mantra can always help: “I am one with God.”  Create your mantra that keeps you on track.  Commit to a practice of aligning yourself with the one power of God.
