DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 2 “Identifying With the Light”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 2 “Identifying With the Light”

Today’s Body Connection:  When we say yes to health and fitness, we say yes to letting our inner light shine, but it takes preparation.  We must prepare our minds and our bodies for the journey of transformation.  If you decide that running or walking is your preferred form of exercise, choose an area to run or walk that is pleasing to you.  Research the different routes and paths you can take.  Invest in a good pair of running shoes, and you also might want to purchase running gear.  If yoga is your choice of exercise, buy your own yoga mat to help you have the best experience possible.  If you are looking for a gym, find the place that speaks to you.  Not every workout place is the right one for you.  Preparation means giving yourself the best opportunity to shine and be successful.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Malcolm X once said, “A man must stand for something or he will fall for anything.”  What do you stand for?  What do you identify with?  Do you identify with your job, the size of your home, or the size of your bank account?  These are all nice things to have, but they are an illusion, a false God that we have created to give our lives meaning.  The truth is our true identity is the One Presence, the One Mind, and the Universal Power of Love.  We must put into practice prayer, meditation, fellowship, and service that cultivate the “oneness consciousness” within our lives.  Once we know that there is no separation between God and us, we become free to identify with the light that lives within.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, begin to identify with the God that lives within you.  Every moment remind yourself that you are one with Mother, Father, God.  Create an affirmation that reminds you of the “oneness consciousness.”

Today’s Affirmation:
Just for this moment…just for this breath, I identity with the Light within, and I allow it to shine bright.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 1 “The Illuminated Life”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 1 “The Illuminated Life”

Today’s Body Connection:  Aqua aerobics and swimming are two of the best ways to get in shape.  The body-temple is forced to move through resistance as the water creates a 360-degree weight room.  The body is 60% water, so the natural flow of the pool supports your intention.  Today, explore your neighborhood, find your community pool, and get wet.  As we continue to discover this world of health and fitness, we must be willing to try new forms of exercise.  As we dance the dance of transformation, our paths give us new ideas to express the light that lives within us.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Living an illuminated life is a journey surrendered to the revealing of God.  Every moment, every breath is dedicated to seeing the unfolding of the Divine Mind, not only in our lives, but also in every person, place, or situation that we come in contact with.  Once we are aware that we live, move, and have our being in God, this is the beginning of the illuminated life.  God is everywhere present, always active, knows all divine things, and is all-powerful, and this is the consciousness of the illuminated life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, live your life with the awareness of God in your life.  Live the illuminated life every breath you take.  Take a moment and recognize the power that live within you.  Awareness is key so today stay awake.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is the life of God and I live the life that illuminates this planet.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 29 “Divine Creativity”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 29 “Divine Creativity”

Today’s Body Connection:  The body is a temple, housing our essence.  It needs our daily practice.  Health and fitness is our birthright and it is time to claim it.  Surrender your self-sabotage, forgive your shortcomings, and push the restart button.  Daily exercise, mindful eating, and an affirmative frame of mind are the keys to holistic transformation.  Every day is a great day to start, just commit to the journey and set the intention to be aware that we are the physical incarnation of the Divine.

Meditative Thought: There is a creative force that lives within us all.   This force is our higher self-wanting to come out and express itself.  Divine Creativity is our rite of passage.  We are creating all the time; words, thoughts, and talents are only a few ways we create everyday.  Awareness is the key.  We must be present to the time we are creating. We begin to see God through our creations.  Prayer is the cultivation of creativity.  When we pray we begin to activate the high vibration of creation; we tap into the universal force that created this planet that created life itself.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, pray for your creation.  Know the unique ways you bring forth the divine.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I bring forth the divine through my creative process.  I am creative; therefore new ideas spring forth every moment.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 27 “Oneness”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 27 “Oneness”

Today’s Body Connection:  Oneness is the energy of unity, connection to all things.  When we work out we must be willing to see the connection of the mind, body, and spirit.  A mindful training session is one that effectively uses the mind and the spirit to help you achieve the physical task at hand.  We can either zone out while we train, mindlessly moving weights, prone to injury, or we can exercise with the awareness of breathing, movement, and how our body feels.  Mindfulness brings your self back to the present moment.  Do not lose focus; stay awake and keep the unity consciousness alive.

Meditative Thought: Yoga is the practice of yoking together two things that appear to be different, like strength training and stretching your mind and body.  During the practice there comes a time when you become aware that there is no separation of the two, only the unique expression of “The One.”  Our prayer time is our commitment to know the power of God that is our lives.  This communion with the Universal presence elevates our awareness that our life is the life of God; there is no separation.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, meditate on your oneness with God.  Spend time in deep contemplation to up level your consciousness.    Take at least ten minutes and be more aware of your connection to your higher self.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the unique expression of the oneness presence of God.  And so I am.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 25 “Practice to Know More Joy”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 25 “Practice to Know More Joy”

Today’s Body Connection:  When we work the body-temple, we get to set an intention for a higher vibration.  The ultimate experience is always Love and Joy.  We must be open to seeing the joy, worthy of the blessing and keep the faith in every workout session.  It not an easy journey to take the high road but it always brings us to place indescribable ecstasy. Today, allow your practice to be the activation of bliss.  Be in the Joy always.  Your workout can be heaven on earth if you are willing.

Meditative Thought: Joy is a divine quality that is within every being.  It is our natural state to be in a space of absolute joy.  Once we realize that Joy is who we are, we can activate the joy within our soul.  Our prayer life is a communion with Joy, a sacred appointment that we must keep every day.  To know more Joy, we must be willing to take that leap into the prayer field and activate this high vibration.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, during your prayer time, set the intention to activate more Joy.  Allow Spirit to speak to you and to show you the Joy that lives within your being.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I know I am Joy fulfilling itself; therefore I bless the planet and everyone I meet with Joy.  And so I am.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 24 “Your Transformation Deepens Your Practice”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 24 “Your Transformation Deepens Your Practice”

Today’s Body Connection: As we become more aware of our connection with the Universe, our practice becomes a tool to deepen our transformation and vice versa. As we transform our lives there is a deeper desire for the practice. We must be willing to immerse ourselves in the essence of life. We must be willing to allow ourselves the space to go within to know more. Our body-temple requires an up leveling by changing and shifting the workout.

Meditative Thought: Prayer is the vibrational field and the open space that is required for transformation. We must commune with God that lives within us so that it can transform our existence. Once we know that we move, live, and have our being in divine spirit, our life becomes primed and ready for change. We must be willing to turn our transformation over to a power greater than ourselves. Our prayer time is the sacred key that unlocks the door of transformation.

Today’s Action Plan: Today, set aside a prayer time to create a willingness to change your life. Create a practice that will anchor and empower transformation.

Affirmation: Just for this moment…just for this breath, my every action is anchored in the prayer field of the Divine. Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 23 “Stay Awake”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 23 “Stay Awake”

Today’s Body Connection:  As our practice grows and expands, the challenge is to stay awake.  We begin to see the payoff of living a healthy life.  We drop the pounds and inches and we love what we are seeing.  We begin to connect with the outer results and forget that we are feeling better than ever before.  After having a moderate amount of success, we tend to forget that it’s not about fitting into the next dress size down, or being able to squeeze ourselves into our skinny jeans.  It’s about connecting with our inner strength and tapping into Spirit through prayer.  The physical practice has only one purpose and that is to let us know our own divinity.”

Meditative Thought: One of the greatest advantages of prayer is the ability to stay awake to the presence of God that lives within us.  The practice of prayer is not to gain any material possession; it is to know more God.  Remember that the Universe only knows itself, which is love, joy, abundance, peace, prosperity, compassion, oneness; our prayers are to know more of these divine qualities that create our authentic self, our true being.  Anything that is not of God is a low vibration of prayer.  Not to say that these human delights are not a part of our everyday life, but just stay awake.  These superficial things are not real, and have no true power.  The only authentic experience is the presence of God.

Today’s Action Plan: Today, pray with the intention to stay awake and to experience more God.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I pray with the highest intention of love.  My life is the life of God; therefore I am blessed.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 22 “A Deeper Surrender to the Practice”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 22 “A Deeper Surrender to the Practice”

Today’s Body Connection:  Yoga is a practice that requires a deep surrender.  Most of us are challenged by flexibility because of the inflexibility within our lives.  When the mind and spirit are unwilling to move and relinquish control, there is a stiffening within our being.  During the practice, it is time for our inner self to speak.  True Yoga is the ability to be present in the pose and hear the message of transformation.  The next time you become aware of a flexibility challenge, I invite you to be still and ask the question, “Where am I being called to let go and stretch?”

Meditative Thought: Prayer is the deepest form of communion with God.  When we are truly in the depths of the practice, the universe takes over every part of the mind, body, and spirit.  There is no thinking, contemplation, or asking God for anything.  We let go of all things outside of ourselves and we surrender to the “I AM” that lives within us.  We let go of all fears, doubts, and worries and we allow the presence of Spirit to take over.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to the God as you pray, allowing the prayer to pray you instead of praying the prayer.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I allow the power of God to pray through me.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 21 “Forgiveness to Heal”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 21 “Forgiveness to Heal”

Today’s Body Connection:  One of the most common injuries I deal with is neck and back pain.  When a client comes to me for relief, one of the first things I ask is, “Are you holding on to unforgiveness?”  Because everything is energy, including our thoughts and our bodies, the energy of unforgiveness can show up as a physical manifestation of pain.  When you say yes to a healthy way of life, you say yes to shifting your energetic vibration.  The mind and the spirit always meet in the body-temple to invite us to transform.  We must be willing to forgive our past experience that we might view as failures.  The forgiveness is the knowing that there are no mistakes, only lessons.  We might need to forgive ourselves for accepting someone else’s opinion of our outer appearance.  Whatever the invitation is, it is a call to heal thyself.

Meditative Thought: “According to scripture, before we pray, before we can build an intimate relationship with God, we must learn how to forgive.” — Dr. Mary A. Tompkins, Before You Pray, Forgive

Dr. Mary encourages us to shift our energy, from resentment to love, before we move into prayer.  Forgiveness is a vibration just like Love.  It reminds me not about whom we pray to, but about where we pray from.  If we pray from a place of resentment, resentment is activated.  If we pray from a place of love, Love is the energy that carries your prayers into Universal Law.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, focus on forgiveness.  Examine your relationships.  Is there anyone who needs forgiveness?  If so, be willing to heal.  Willingness is the first step to forgiveness.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, forgiveness is the order of my life.  I bless the world with Love.  I pray with a heart of kindness and compassion.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 20 “A Strong Foundation Is Divine Will”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 20 “A Strong Foundation Is Divine Will”

Today’s Body Connection:  If you have one choice to make one body part strong, it is most definitely the abdominals.  Your core, or the trunk of your body, is the foundation of your body; when it is strong, everything else works with ease.  Your core is divided into three sections: the front, or the rectus abdominis, which helps the torso to flex forward and to stand straight and stabilize; the erector spinae, or the muscles along the spine, which allow us to extend and straighten the back after bending over; and the obliques, which allow us to rotate from side to side. The ability to move the torso side-to-side, front to back, and any combination of the two requires a strengthening and flexibility of the core muscles.  Like your spiritual journey, your body needs a strong foundation upon which the practice is built.  When your base is weak and inflexible, your house will fall when the winds of life starts blowing.  Take the time to build your practice by creating a foundation that cannot be shaken.

Meditative Thought: “True prayer must be, Thy will be done.” — Ernest Holmes. God’s will is to bless you to the fullest capacity possible.  The challenge is when we get in the way by putting God in a box.  When we ask God for the blessing to look a certain way, it limits our possibilities.  God is infinite and his will is for you to share in infinite wealth and supply.  God’s love for us is to see you live the biggest, most amazing life ever.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to God’s will, which is your highest good.  Write a letter to the Universe proclaiming your commitment to God’s will.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my will is God’s will and God’s will is my will.  And so I let it be.  Amen
