Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – The Journey

The Journey

I always say, “Transformation is a journey with no destination.” As we’ve reached the end of another week the real challenge of “Our Journey” is finding the joy on your voyage to a healthy lifestyle. The movement and vibration you put into your transformation will be the deciding factor on how you participate and your return. Let’s face it, change is ongoing, so why not make the most of it?

So for our Body Connection this week get on up, move, shake, dance, and groove. Infuse your workouts with an attitude of Joy and Positivity. Your body is affected by your energy. The vibration you choose will influence your results.

Today’s Affirmation: Find your quiet place and center yourself and just for this breath…just for this moment, travel the road of transformation, reminding yourself to grow and be your true authentic self. And so say. ” I am, and so I let it be”. Amen

Have a terrific weekend!

Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – Download Directions of the Devine

Download Directions of the Devine

Skip Jennings AffirmationI hope that you all have been meditating on our theme this week. “Download Directions of the Divine I posted Monday. LOL No worries, it’s here to ponder. We’ll continue the theme moving it into the weekend with our Body Connection.

There have been times during a run when I have received great insight about my life. In fact, many of my Aha moments have been “downloaded” during a workout. I’m a strong believer that the activity of movement creates a clearer mind for thoughts to be received and processed. I encourage everyone to get up and move, take a walk, run, to sweat a little. The physical practice can be a conduit for new ideas to flow and for contemplation to take place. During your strength-training session, yoga, run, cycle any workout time, ask a question that you have been pondering for a while. Or you can simply ask, “What insights about me do I need to learn today?” Trust that all things are connected and can lead to a deeper awareness of self if we are open and willing.

Friday’s Affirmation: Take a moment from the bustle of the week and the start of the weekend to affirm. Ready? Just for this moment… just for this breath, I download my divine direction for transformation and I live my life’s purpose. Amen

Peace and Blessings,

Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – Know Better

For today’s affirmation you’ll meditate and affirm that you are the master of your destiny and filled with infinite possibilities. Find a spot and take a second and let yourself breathe. And so you are, and so let it be. Amen

Today’s Body Connection: As the season continues to cool we must begin to see that our own transformation begins with awareness. It could be the first moment of the crisp Fall morning when we put on our shirt and notice that it doesn’t fit or those pair of jeans are just a smidgen too tight and we tell ourselves that the “dryer monster” purposely shrunk our clothes. The honest truth is that we know better. It’s time to get moving and stop making excuses. It’s time to “put downs and push a ways.” Put down the smartphone and push away from the table. Today is your day to transform your life and it begins with a walk, a jog, hitting the mat, to move and the start of a new the awakening.

Peace and Blessings,

Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – Lessons

We end our week building on the meditation of Lessons from Monday. This week we close the theme with an Affirmation and body connection revolving around lessons. Begin by finding a place, settle your mind. Let’s begin by breathing and remembering to awaken and to live to your highest potential. Embrace the lessons of life and stand strong and in spiritual authority. Amen

Today’s Body Connection: Remember, when you exercise, what is your mindset? Do you find your workouts challenging, hard to enjoy and tedious or are they fun, enjoyable, and filled with insights? I invite you to see each training session as a time for mental and spiritual growth. Every workout is a lesson of your personal strength and power. When you finish your session, celebrate the achievement. Your completion is a testament to how amazing you truly are.   Every time you finish another mile, or the last repetition in the set, or the final crunch, that is the perfect time to let out a big, fat yes. Today, you have accomplished your intention to be better, stronger, and more of you. And that is one of the greatest lessons we can ever learn.

Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – Be Still and Know

We started our week with meditation focusing around the theme of Being Still and Knowing God’s voice.  For this week’s Affirmation find a place, settle your mind and just for this moment…just for this breath, remember to be still and know that God is everything. And so it is. Amen

For Today’s Body Connection: Remember, yoga is our invitation to slow down and be present. The asana position, also known as the stillness, requires us to stop and connect with the body and/or something greater. During yoga practice, it is the stillness that invites us to know our divine self. The physical practice of yoga is a metaphorical battle with the big self and the ego. Our soul’s desire is to know serenity and peace, to release the chaotic activity of the mental mind. The Bhagavad Gita, sacred scriptures for the yoga practice, say, “When thy mind, that may be wavering in the contradictions of many scriptures, shall rest unshaken in divine contemplation, then the goal of Yoga is thine.” In other words, if we can allow our thoughts to fall into God, we will know our connection to our higher self.

Have a blessed weekend.

Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – God Expressing Within

As the weekend is upon us let’s reflect on Monday’s message of “God Expressing Within” and apply it to both a body connection and to affirm.

Remember, exercise is a way of expressing God within. Every time we consciously train our bodies we are doing spiritual work to express more love, light and joy that lives within.  The Essence of life lives within you; therefore every weight you lift is the expression of the Universal presence of God.  Your physical practice is about creating what I call the body-temple that is without the pain and weakness that may hinder your spiritual work.  Recall that after a hard, vigorous training session, our bodies glow. They also release hormones called endorphins, imbuing us with a euphoric feeling that is chemically induced. I call it the God Vibration.  The next time you finish your physical practice, take a moment and acknowledge the God Vibration.  Be still, and once you feel it, recognize it as a space of gratitude.  When we exercise, it becomes a tool for reaching our inner being.

Lastly, let us combine this body connection knowledge and affirm that just for this moment…just for this breath, remember that God lives within your soul and that you can do anything.

Body Connection – You Are The Light…

Skip Jennings RelaxingWe started off the week with meditating and reminding ourselves that you are a gift to this planet and you have said yes to a mission that only you can do. Remember, when you exercise the body hosts our mindfulness and acts as a shelter, haven, temple, that radiates your presence.  This radiance or aura shines a brightness that everyone can see.  Have you ever run into someone after a great workout and their response been something like, “You look amazing!” or “You’re glowing!”?  It’s more than just sweat, that’s your light of God shining through and as you, activated be your physical practice.  When you get your blood moving and elevate your heart rate, there is a natural radiance of health and fitness that cannot be denied.

Your Action Plan: Get your eternal glow pumping by participating in your physical practice or if you are just beginning see about taking the stairs instead of the elevator or doing a 15 minute walk instead of 10.

Peace and Blessings,

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 3 – “Renew the Mind”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 3 – “Renew the Mind”

Today’s Body Connection:  All physical practices are design for the renewing of the mind.  If we are open to new insights, they will come.  Cardiovascular exercises remind us that we are breathing. Strength training anchors a strong body.  And Yoga helps our flexibility in life.  Today, as we train the body, make the decision to renew and restore your thinking by aligning what you do with what you think.

Today’s Meditative Thought: “And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” — Romans 12:2

True transformation is shifting the way we think.  We must renew our consciousness with the practice of meditation, affirmation, and prayer.  It is our thoughts that get in the way of truly knowing our oneness with the divine.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, be still and quiet in your thoughts so that you may hear God.  Begin to renew your mind within the “upper room” of your soul.  This is an active practice of connecting what you are doing with what you are thinking and feeling.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I renew my mind, body, and spirit with the Love of God.  I infuse my existence with God and I am a blessing for this planet.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 7- “Joy of the Universe”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 7- “Joy of the Universe”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, when we connect with our body we connect with the Joy of the Universe.  There is nothing more enjoyable than feeling healthy.  There is nothing in the world that can take away the elation that we experience when energized by fitness.  We try using shopping, sex, alcohol, and drugs to achieve the experience of feeling wholeness, but the truth is, it is an inside job that can only be achieved by the practice.  As you dive into your workouts, allow your energy and your vibration to fill that place that appears empty.  Connect with the Joy of working out.  Find the space of gratitude; connect with your inner being.

Meditative Thought:  Joy is an energy that can overcome any disappointment.  “The Joy of the lord is my strength” is a scripture of hope.  You can endure anything just by looking for the Joy.  If you are having trouble activating it, ask God to show you the Joy, have faith, and just hold on.   “Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning.”

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that Joy is not based on circumstance; it is an absolute divine quality that is always available in any situation.  As you train you body temple, find one thing that works in your life.  Connect with the feeling of joy and gratitude than remove that thing and just be in the Joy energy.  For the rest of your day, mindfully activate Joy everywhere you go.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to hold on, let go, and let God.  I am Joy expressing itself.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 6 – “Lessons”

The Body Connection:  Remember, when you exercise, what is your mindset?  Do you find your workouts challenging, hard to enjoy and tedious or are they fun, enjoyable, and filled with insights?  I invite you to see each training session as a time for mental and spiritual growth.  Every workout is a lesson of your personal strength and power.  When you finish your session, celebrate the achievement.  Your completion is a testament to how amazing you truly are.   Every time you finish another mile, or the last repetition in the set, or the final crunch, that is the perfect time to let out a big, fat yes.  Today, you have accomplished your intention to be better, stronger, and more of you. And that is one of the greatest lesson that we can ever learn.

Meditative Thought:  These lessons we have said yes to allow us to be more and to share more of God.  Each challenge is the invitation to surrender to the Divine that lives within us.  Instead of asking God why, we should say, “bring it on.”  After the fire, we will emerge as Gold.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that life is a series of opportunities to awaken and activate our true, authentic selves.  When you are faced with a challenge, be grateful and say thanks for the opportunity to grow.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to awaken and to live to my highest potential.  I embrace the lessons of life and I stand strong and in my spiritual authority. Amen
