DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 5 “Why We Are Here”

Today’s Body Connection:  When we participate in a physical practice, we begin to understand the meaning of life.  We were created to live an existence filled with abundance and prosperity, and that includes our health.  Our physical training can lead to the awakening that we are alive and well.  After a great yoga class or cycling session, the vibration is extra-heightened and filled with living energy. When we understand the meaning of being alive, we will set the intention to know more of life.  Life-energy is contagious.  When we connect with our intention of having the best possible existence, people will catch the vibe and they will want to know what is it about us.  We will begin to radiate our intentions and share our enlightenment, and that is why we are here.

Today’s Meditative Thought: We are here upon this planet to share our gifts and to know our divine self.  We are not here to get anything, but to give.  Because we all are one, connected by the spirit of God, when we give we receive.  It is the “Law of Circulation.”   This is the time to set the intention to know our oneness.  We are living in a very unique time in our existence.  We have two choices: to evolve in consciousness and grow as a people, or annihilate each other and call it a day.  I am choosing the path of growth.  Will you join me?  Let’s remember why we have chosen to experience this side of eternity.  Let’s remember why we are here.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today’s lesson is to remember why you are here.  Take the time to bless everyone with your gifts and talents.  During your time at work, school, or play, set the intention to bless and to give love. Remind yourself that you are here to give, not to get.  Walk with a new intention to show up as God.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I know the one power that is my life; therefore I am the blessing.  I move and groove with a new divine rhythm.  And so it is.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 25  “Light Expresses Only Itself”

Today’s Body Connection:  Endurance and Strength go hand in hand.  You cannot increase your endurance without increasing your strength.  And when you exercise for longer periods of time, you will increase your strength and your endurance.  When we move from the awareness that both are connected, it does not matter what you are doing, you will not get the results you desire.  Take the time to go for a long walk or a power run.  Work out with weights, or go for a swim.  It’s all good. It’s all divine.  It’s all perfect.

Today’s Meditative Thought: As we celebrate the birth of the Christ Consciousness we become aware of how God shows up within our lives.  The Light only expresses itself as Love, the highest consciousness there is.  When we feel the presence of God within our hearts that is the Light making itself known to us.  We can become aware of the Divine through a person, place, thing, or a moment of silence.  God is everywhere; we can hear it in a song, we can feel it when we talk to a friend, or while reading a book.  All of these moments bring us back to the realization of divine love.  When we see God expressing itself, it is important that we declare it as what it is…Love.  The recognition of Grace, or God in action, helps us to remember the one power that is always active.  The Christ Consciousness is the awareness that we are one with Mother… Father…God, and there is nothing that the power of God cannot do as us.  “I do nothing, but it is the Spirit within me that does all things.”

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, when you feel the presence of God, touch your heart, close your eyes, and take a deep breath.  Recognize the experience of God you are having.  The more aware of God we become, the more experience of God we will have.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the Light expresses itself as me.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 10 “The I AM, the Light, and Love”

Today’s Body Connection:  God is in every single workout.  If you are open, you will see the Divine in every pushup, lunge, and squat.  As we transform the body-temple, we awaken the awareness of who and what lives within our soul.  We are the emanation of the Great I AM, created from Love, designed to shine the Light of the Universe.  No matter what physical practice you are doing, know that it is the power of God that is fueling your workout.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  No matter what you call your higher self, it is all the same.  Some call it Love or God; some call it Light.  Whatever name you give it, it is your higher self, the highest vibration that transcends this human plane of existence.  The Light is an impersonal being that really has no name.  The bible says that God is the I AM.  The I AM speaks more of the existence of God than trying to name it.  Be free to experience the presence of God. Connect with the Universal Flow, and then you will know that the I AM is what I am.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, be still and know the I AM.  During meditation, take deep breaths and know the power of the Light.  Fall deep into the Love of God each moment you are in the stillness.  Be present to the Light that is your life.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I AM is the I AM that I AM.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  The reason for exercising the body is to activate freedom within our lives.  When the body hinders us, our “dis-ease” is all we think about.  When de-condition is the way of life, it has a way of dimensioning our hope.  Allow your physical practice the opportunity to improve your quality of life.  You are worth it.  The goal is always to feel better.  Today set the intention to improve your life with a strong physical practice.

Meditative Thought: Affirmative Prayer is the practice of freedom.  When we speak an affirmation or affirmative prayer we choose to co-creation with the Universe.  When we speak with authority we begin to lose the chains of bondage.  Praying to a God outside of us, hoping that a blessing will come…is powerless.  When we realize our oneness with the Universe, we empower our lives.  Affirmative Prayer is the knowing that you have everything you need and that you’re free to live your fullest life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, pray to a God that lives within you.   Speak to Spirit like you would to an old friend, because it is.  The Universe has been with you since before time, and it will never leave you.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I pray to God that lives within me.  I am one with infinite Spirit.  I allow my prayers to activate Divine inspiration in my life.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 16 – “True Power”

Today’s Body Connection:  What is it you really want?  It’s more than to get into your skinny jeans or to lose weight for a wedding.  Of course, reaching a certain weight by an important date can be a surface goal, but what happens when you reach that day or when it’s over?  The majority of people will lose weight for the special day, and when it has come and gone, they gain the pounds back.  The reason for the re-gain, or the “yo-yo” weight syndrome, is lack of vision. Again, I ask what do you really want?  I invite you to see the underlying intention for working out.  We train to connect with our true self, health, and wholeness; we work out to know true power, and true power is the recognition of the Divine within.  When we connect to our physical strength, it is the spiritual strength that is empowered.  Remember, there is always a deeper intention for your external desires.  Your desire to feel better is really the intention to know your wholeness.  Your physical practice will help you to know the true meaning of healing.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The only power we have is our connection to our higher self.  Only from Unity consciousness can we achieve our greatness.  True power is going after what we want with the authority of God fueling our every move.  Know who and what lives inside your soul.  Every day cultivate your relationship with your higher self.  Remember, there is no mountain we cannot climb in God.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that we are in union with God.  Take the time to journal.  As you move through your day, observe your connection with God.  Make a list of everything and everyone that reveals your divine connection.  When you become aware, write it down and affirm it with a simple mantra, “I am one with…”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am one with true divine power.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 15 – “Low State or High State”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, living a healthy life is based on awareness, a divine mindfulness that you cannot separate the mind from the body and the body from the spirit.  It is all connected.  Health and fitness is a higher state of consciousness.  When we eat, we must remember that it is a spiritual experience.  Not only do we pray and thank God for the food we are about to receive, but eating is also about nourishment of the body-temple, home of your spirit.  Our fitness has more than a superficial meaning, if we choose.  There is a difference between working out to know your divinity and working out to get into your skinny jeans.  It’s not about wrong our or right, just different levels of consciousness.  It’s about our awareness and our intentions.  To know your divine self is a high state of consciousness; to drop a dress size or two is a low state of consciousness.  The higher state will always bring us inner peace, while the lower state’s recompense is fleeting and disappointing.  Choose the higher state.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The low state of consciousness is when we are asleep to the greatness that is within ourselves.  The high state of consciousness is when this greatness is activated and in use.  Today is the day we wake up and set the planet ablaze.  It is time to transform our world and it begins with you.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember you can be in a low state of consciousness or a high state of consciousnesses.  Today is a day of awareness.  Stay awake!

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember the time to transform is now.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 28 “Surrender to Challenges”

The Body Connection:  Working out is a challenge that is required to achieve the goal of fitness.  But it can be enjoyed if we surrender to it.  As long as we fight the process we will always see the challenge as nothing else but work.  One way to surrender is to change the “have to” to “get to.”  We get to play to create a healthy vehicle to do God’s work.  We get to honor our sacred commitment to be the best we can be.  The truth is that every pushup, squat, lunge, mile run or walked is the physical practice of getting better, faster, stronger and more powerful.  During the workout you might feel weak, but have faith: a strengthening of the mind, body, and spirit is taking place.  It the process of breaking down that will lead to your breakthrough.

Meditative Thought: Mentally and spiritually, we need to hit bottom, stop digging, and surrender to the fight before our transformation can happen.  It is the raw feeling of defeat that brings us to a place of surrender.  Sometimes it takes a spiritual beat down, a divine tenderizing of the soul, to prepare us for transformation.  It is when we are most vulnerable that can we hear the voice of God.  Until we have nothing else to fight with, a true transformation cannot happen. We must truly see the need for a shift to happen to allow it to happen.  What appears to be our greatest challenge becomes our greatest invitation to change.  Surrender to the challenges in your life; your breakdown will lead to a breakthrough.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, bless the mess.  Choose to see God in the midst of all your challenges.  Journal and list everything that you think is a messy situation in your life, and then ask the Universe, “Where is there a need for change here?”  Journal your answer and be willing to take action.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I bless the mess.  My challenges are divine and blessed with my intentions to be great.  My eyes are open and I see God.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 25 “Surrender to Joy”

The Body Connection:  I invite you to find your divine happiness in every moment when training the body-temple.  Connect with your inner joy as you walk, run, and lift weights.  Sometimes you need to take your mind off the work that you are doing and connect with the source of all things.  Put on your favorite song or inspirational tape to uplift your vibration.  Find an exercise class and connect with a community.  Fellowship and a feeling of belonging is always a great tool to activate your inner bliss.  Dissociate the discomfort of working-out and go within to a place were peace lives.  Find your Joy; it is always available for activation.

Meditative Thought: Do you know what activates Joy in your life?  Do you know what allows you to connect with your inner happiness?  Joy is a divine quality that comes from our connection with the Universal presence of God.  It is who and what we are.  In our fast-paced world we must slow down and remember Joy, remember God.  When we are challenged with finding our Joy, it is a direct inability to connect with God.  To find our Joy we must slow down, be still, and know the Joy within.  Yes, there are external sources that help to activate Joy, but it is our stillness that helps us to be aware that Joy is present.  Whatever brings you Joy, surrender and become one with it; do it everyday.  Joy is a spiritual quality that can be experienced when we know what activates it.  Allow Joy to be your anchor, your strength through the challenging times.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to Joy.  Set the intention to find your Joy no matter what.  Support your practice with anything that activates your divine happiness.  Make a list of what activates Joy within and participate in it.  Before meditation, play your favorite song.  Before or after your workout, read a short passage from your favorite book that inspires you.  Joy is the up-leveler of your vibration; connect with your inner Joy today.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the Joy of the Lord is my strength.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT:  Surrendering – Day 13 “Surrender to the Mind of God”

The Body Connection:  Our body is the human incarnation of the mind of God and it requires a physical practice.  Its condition is based on the commitment to taking care of it.  Daily exercise, mindful eating, and an affirmative mind are the keys to holistic transformation.  Every day is a great day to start; just commit and set the intention to be mindful of your physical incarnation of the Divine.

Meditative Thought: There are times we cannot experience the goodness of life.  Our human condition is so overwhelming and we think that nothing will change. We must surrender to the mind of God.  Wholeness is a consciousness we can only see with the eyes of God. As we physically transform our body, we must align our thinking with the Universe.  We must build a consciousness that allows us to receive our blessings.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to the work that builds a consciousness to receive kindness and compassion.  Along with the physical practice of exercise and mindful eating, prayer and meditation is as important for the transformation.  Before you start your daily physical routine, take the time to be still, say a prayer, and anchor your awareness in the Divine.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the power of God is in?? my life.  I am blessed and highly favored.  My body is the expression of the Universe and wholeness is the order of the day.  Amen
