DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 6 – “Lessons”

The Body Connection:  Remember, when you exercise, what is your mindset?  Do you find your workouts challenging, hard to enjoy and tedious or are they fun, enjoyable, and filled with insights?  I invite you to see each training session as a time for mental and spiritual growth.  Every workout is a lesson of your personal strength and power.  When you finish your session, celebrate the achievement.  Your completion is a testament to how amazing you truly are.   Every time you finish another mile, or the last repetition in the set, or the final crunch, that is the perfect time to let out a big, fat yes.  Today, you have accomplished your intention to be better, stronger, and more of you. And that is one of the greatest lesson that we can ever learn.

Meditative Thought:  These lessons we have said yes to allow us to be more and to share more of God.  Each challenge is the invitation to surrender to the Divine that lives within us.  Instead of asking God why, we should say, “bring it on.”  After the fire, we will emerge as Gold.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that life is a series of opportunities to awaken and activate our true, authentic selves.  When you are faced with a challenge, be grateful and say thanks for the opportunity to grow.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to awaken and to live to my highest potential.  I embrace the lessons of life and I stand strong and in my spiritual authority. Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 4 – “Be Still and Know”

The Body Connection:  Remember, yoga is our invitation to slow down and be present.  The asana position, also known as the stillness, requires us to stop and connect with the body and/or something greater.  During yoga practice, it is the stillness that invites us to know our divine self.  The physical practice of yoga is a metaphorical battle with the big self and the ego. Our soul’s desire is to know serenity and peace, to release the chaotic activity of the mental mind.  The Bhagavad Gita, sacred scriptures for the yoga practice, say, “When thy mind, that may be wavering in the contradictions of many scriptures, shall rest unshaken in divine contemplation, then the goal of Yoga is thine.” In other words, if we can allow our thoughts to fall into God, we will know our connection to our higher self.

Meditative Thought:  God wants to have a private encounter with your soul on a daily basis. It is the practice of meditation that helps you to embrace your greatness.  When we choose the path of stillness we will know the power that sustains us.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember to be still and know that God is God.  It is the stillness that brings a deeper awareness of our unity with the Holy Spirit.  Take the time to sit in the secret garden of your consciousness.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to be still and know that God is everything.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 30 “God’s Time”

The Body Connection:  Our biggest lessons on this path of the body connection are simple:  1.  Fitness is a journey with no destination and no time limits.  It is a practice required for the rest of our existence on this side of life.    2.  We must release the goal of looking like something or someone to measure our health and fitness.  What we see in the magazine or how another appears to us is our own perception.  3. Love yourself through every step of the journey.  4. Do not put a time limit on your fitness.  When we use a time marker to drop a certain amount of pounds, we set ourselves up for failure.  During your journey to or back to fitness, recognize that you are in God’s perfect time and that in that space all things are happening exactly how they need to work.  Everything happens in God’s time, so stop looking for shortcuts.

Meditative Thought: Surrender to God’s time.  Sometimes we want our blessings when we want them.  But God’s time is infinite, so our blessings are happening right now.  In our human mind we have created ideas for what our blessings should look like and when they should happen.  Take God out of your personal box.  No matter what our goals, desires, or intentions are, we must release our personal timeline.  The Universe does not work on our terms.  God is an all-powerful, all-knowing life force that has it in control.  Once we recognize that God just is, without conditions or favorites, and is not handing out blessings faster to those who worship more, we will free up the divine flow to happen in our lives.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, free your mind to the infinite outpouring of God’s Love.  Meditate on the simple manta, “Everything is happing in divine perfect timing.”  Know that your transformation is happening at the pace it needs to happen.  Journey any thoughts or insights that might come up before, during, and after meditation.  It is important for you to keep a record of all your Ah-ha moments.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I free my mind with the love of God.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 25 “Surrender to Joy”

The Body Connection:  I invite you to find your divine happiness in every moment when training the body-temple.  Connect with your inner joy as you walk, run, and lift weights.  Sometimes you need to take your mind off the work that you are doing and connect with the source of all things.  Put on your favorite song or inspirational tape to uplift your vibration.  Find an exercise class and connect with a community.  Fellowship and a feeling of belonging is always a great tool to activate your inner bliss.  Dissociate the discomfort of working-out and go within to a place were peace lives.  Find your Joy; it is always available for activation.

Meditative Thought: Do you know what activates Joy in your life?  Do you know what allows you to connect with your inner happiness?  Joy is a divine quality that comes from our connection with the Universal presence of God.  It is who and what we are.  In our fast-paced world we must slow down and remember Joy, remember God.  When we are challenged with finding our Joy, it is a direct inability to connect with God.  To find our Joy we must slow down, be still, and know the Joy within.  Yes, there are external sources that help to activate Joy, but it is our stillness that helps us to be aware that Joy is present.  Whatever brings you Joy, surrender and become one with it; do it everyday.  Joy is a spiritual quality that can be experienced when we know what activates it.  Allow Joy to be your anchor, your strength through the challenging times.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to Joy.  Set the intention to find your Joy no matter what.  Support your practice with anything that activates your divine happiness.  Make a list of what activates Joy within and participate in it.  Before meditation, play your favorite song.  Before or after your workout, read a short passage from your favorite book that inspires you.  Joy is the up-leveler of your vibration; connect with your inner Joy today.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the Joy of the Lord is my strength.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 22 “Humility”

The Body Connection:  One of the things that we strive for is balance, physically, mentally, and spiritually.  During our journey toward a more fit life, balance or the lack of balance can bring us to a place of humility.  Have you ever been in a yoga class and a very challenging yoga pose has brought you to your knees? And those squats and lunges during your strength-training sessions can challenge you beyond belief.  Even the simple act of standing on one foot with your eyes closed will show you the need to work on your balance.  The secret to achieving balance is to become the balance, and that is an inside job.  When working on your physical practice, remind yourself that balance comes from a place of center within.  Not matter what form of balance you are striving for; it comes from inside of you.  Balance is a feeling that can only be achieved in the practice of stillness.  True balance is achieved when we humble ourselves to the practice of mindfulness.  Stay teachable as you awaken to the balance that is within you.

 

Meditative Thought: Humility is fully surrendering to God, allowing us to be teachable to the lesson that we have said yes to.  Because we are the likeness, and an idea in the mind of God, we are not limited to the growth we can experience.  The lesson today is humility to feel balanced.  Every lesson leads us to a deeper awareness for God within, which is always in order and balanced.

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remain teachable; humble yourself to the divine lessons of life.  Mindfully ask the question, “What am I to learn from this situation?” or “What is seeking to emerge from this challenge?”  When the answers come, write in down so you don’t forget.    During your time of the physical, mental, our spiritual practices, explore, contemplate and cultivate these expansive questions.  Keep a record of all you divine downloads; this record of enlighten can be used in moments of forgetfulness.

 

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I say yes to the expansion of my soul.  I am humble and teachable and ready to learn.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGET:  31 Days of Surrendering to God – Day 9 “Reaching God”

Meditative Thought:  Joel S. Goldsmith says, “You cannot reach God through your mind.” When I read this, I instantly understood its meaning: we can only experience God.  When we think about who God is, we always come up short.  In our human incarnation we can only conceive God as our past thoughts, teaching, and an idea of what we think God is.  Our thoughts and imagination can never create an accurate description of God.  God is an incorporeal being that can only be accessed through the invisible practice of prayer and meditation. The truth is a “God experience” is always new and fresh.  There comes a moment in our journey when we stop thinking about who God is and begin to experience what God is.

 

Today’s Spiritual Assignment:  Today, free your mind of the “Who” and experience the “What.” Whenever there is a quest, consciously return to the “what” question.  The answer is always God.  When life seems a little interesting, slow down and breathe the question, “What is seeking to emerge?”

 

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I know that God is love; therefore I am love.  And so it is.  Amen

Meditative Thought: When you feel the need to control the outcome of every situation and you think things are not going your way, ask yourself the question, “Whose life is it anyway?”  This simple but divine contemplation will align your consciousness with the truth.  Your life is the life of God; therefore you are free to relax.  When we choose to operate from a place of surrender, we have the power to live a life that is powerful and filled with meaning.

Today’s Spiritual Assignment:  Today, relax in God and allow your highest potential to unfold. When challenges appear and life seems to take you off track, ask yourself the question, “Whose life is it anyway?”  Go within and listen for your answer.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I move, live, and have my being in God.  All my intentions are blessed.  It is done and so it is.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Empowerment – Day 31 “The Practice That Empowers Our Existence”

Meditative Thought: Empowerment comes from our practice and our willingness to grow.  Our practice uncovers revelations for growth, which, indeed, leads to Empowerment. When we learn about who and what we are, we anchor our lives in a divine power that will energize our every move.  As we study, revelations are revealed quicker and we begin to live a life that is always empowered. Divine knowledge is power and this power is ours for the taking.  This journey will be the most challenging but also the most fulfilling thing we can ever do.  Transformation of the mind, body, and sprit comes from the commitment to the practice of sacred study.  Be willing and open, do the work, and you will know more power than you every dreamed of.

Today’s Spiritual Assignment:  Today, set the intention to create or reignite your spiritual practice.  Decide your path of study and commit.  In your journal, write yourself a letter of commitment, sign it, and stick to it.  For 30 days, read your letter of commitment and follow through.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I reveal the truth and allow God to shine. Amen

Meditative Thought: Our divine insights are sacred, designed to empower our lives.  I love when Oprah talks about “Ah-ha moments.”  But after our awakening, there is another step.  There is an action that must take place before our transformation takes place.  When we receive these downloads and we begin to move our feet, there is a shift that happens and we are never the same.  But the shift doesn’t stop with us.  Insights from God are not only for our personal growth; they are for the collective, the group consciousness.  As we shift, the world will change.  When we begin to realize the importance of our transformation, we begin the journey of self-empowerment.  Receive your Ah-ha moment with a sense of reverence.  Be open to the blessings that you have caught from the fourth and fifth dimensions.

 

Today’s Spiritual Assignment:  Today, search for insights of your personal empowerment.  Journal about your Ah-ha moment, and take the time to see their importance.  Today, be open to receiving sacred insights.  Each time you receive a new one, be grateful.  Acknowledge your gift by simply saying, “Thank you.”

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the tool that uplifts this planet. And so I am. And so I let it be. Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Empowerment – Day 15 “Knowledge Is Empowerment”

Meditative Thought: Ever since I was a little boy, this question, “Who am I and why am I here” has been in my consciousness. From an early age, I have been on a quest to bring meaning to my life.  The more I study, the more I realize how much I don’t know. Our spiritual inquiry is a journey that requires continual exploration.   When we remain humble and teachable, we allow expansion of our consciousness and we create the room to grow.  This is known as the “Beginner’s Mind.”

Today’s Spiritual Assignment:  Today, create a space for study.  Set the intention to make time daily to learn more.  Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find your sacred study material: one book, manuscript, or pamphlet that resonates with your soul.  Decide when and where you will study on a daily basis.  Set your divine appointment; create a calendar reminder in your phone, computer, or your pad.  This is an appointment you don’t want to miss.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am here to express God. And so it is. Amen.
