Today’s Body Connection:  When you feel tired in the body-temple, stretching is a great way to rejuvenate your light.  When we re-spark our essence our consciousness will be up leveled and elevated. Today, allow your physical practice to ignite your spiritual practice.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The light of God is the power that brings us a new understanding of our own divinity.  We must be willing to participate in the practice of the Illuminated life, meaning a life that is full of the Universal presence.  This way of life is the recognition that God is the only power that there is.  We elevate our consciousness and awareness that the Light is always shining.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to elevate your consciousness.   Be willing to put into practice the things that are sacred and cultivate the spirit within you.  Today, begin a meditation practice that awakens your “oneness” connection with God.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am aware and awake to the divinity that lives within me.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 21 “Your Purpose Is Always to Bring the Light”

Today’s Body Connection:  Desk fitness is what you do when you don’t have time to get outside or go to a gym to exercise. While you are sitting at your desk, contract and relax your tummy muscles to work your abdominals.  Stand and sit 25 times, three times a day, to work your legs.  Make sure you continue to stretch your upper body to stay flexible during this sedentary time of your life.  Any time is a great time to work out if you are willing. Your purpose for your life is to live it to the fullest.  Be willing and you will recognize that each and every place is a great place to move the body-temple, letting the light shine.

Today’s Meditative Thought: When we ask the question, “Why am I here?” the answer is always to be a “bringer” of the Light.  When we understand that we are the Light, then everywhere we go we carry each and every quality of God.  Understand your mission.  We are not in this part of our existence to get anything; we are here to bring forth the Universal presence.  This is what gives our life meaning.  This is what elevates our experience.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to bring the light wherever you go.  Tap into the God space before leaving for your daily destination.  Begin to pray for the space you are heading to.  Activate love; send the Light ahead to make the crooked path straight and the rough places nice and smooth.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is a magnet for only good.  I live as God, blessing the planet.  I am one with the Light, and life is Divine.  And so it is. Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Finding your health and fitness inspiration comes from recognizing your inner light.  While you are exploring different ways of training, be open to motivation and inspirational tools to present themselves.  When you say yes to a healthy lifestyle, encouragement will show up when you need it.  Be open to the light and it will show you the way.

Today’s Meditative Thought: What is your intention?  Why have you come to this plane of existence?  We are here to share the Light.  When we set the intention to fulfill God’s agreement, our life has meaning.  When the Light is the intention, all problems fade away.  We must free ourselves by setting the intention to share God. When anything else, like money, fame, or notoriety, becomes the focus, our true purpose becomes lost, and we are unfulfilled.  The Light is the only thing that gives us inspiration.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to activate the Light.  Find the purpose for your life through your connection with God.  Meditate on your oneness with spirit and allow your focus to be the Light.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the pure expression of the Light, and I am a great way for Love to flow.   Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Working with a trainer is a great way to stay focused and accountable to your practice.  As a personal trainer, I not only become a tool for inspiration, I become a friend, willing to stand with my clients as they transform their body-temples.  A coach can be exactly what you need to jump-start your physical practice.  Be open to having a new experience; allow a coach to shine their light and help you with their body of knowledge gathered through experience.   Prosperity and abundance of information is at your fingertips and can be giving through a coach, just be open to receive it.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The Light is always prosperous, flourishing, and abundant.  When we surrender ourselves to God, these are the gifts that we receive.  We get to participate in the enjoyment of life.  There is nothing that the Holy Spirit withholds from us.  We have it all; we only need to be woken up.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, awaken the Light within you and enjoy your life.  Everything you have is a blessing.  Celebrate the prosperity of the Light.  Create a mantra that empowers your plenitude.  There is more than enough.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am free and I participate in my own enjoyment of life.

Today’s Body Connection:  An outdoor bike ride is a great way to stay in shape.  Whenever we play in the great outdoors, we are in touch with nature, God’s playground.  Today, take your physical practice outside and take in the light of the sun.  It will refuel you soul and renew your life.  Remember the light can shift any and all ‘dis-ease’ within the body temple.  Healing comes from the natural source of vitamin D.

Today’s Meditative Thought: When a shift or a transformation is required in our lives, it is the Light that brings it forth.  The healing power of God is the only true power there is; therefore a transformation requires a Universal flow.  No matter what the issue is, the Light can cover all things.  The divine presence of God can transform any and all situations.  When alchemy takes place, there is always a small amount of Gold present within the metal.  When the alchemy of the heart and soul is activated, the light is already present.  It is the presence of the One Mind that is set free to take over, and then a shift begins.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, turn your transformation over to the one that is within you.  Whatever you are seeking to become, you already are.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the deep expression of the Divine.  I am everything that I seek to be.  And so I am.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 12 “The Blessings of the Light”

 Today’s Body Connection:  Can you find your blessings?  They are always there but we don’t always see them.  During your workout, set the intention to see the gifts that the light bestows upon us.  Remember, when you exercise the body-temple, you radiate a glowing light.  When you get your blood moving or elevate your heart rate, there is a natural radiance of heath and fitness that cannot be denied.  Today, get your eternal glow by participating in your physical practice.

Today’s Meditative Thought: When we identify with the Light, we become aware that everything the Light is, we are. There is nothing the Light has that we don’t posses ourselves.  Every divine quality is freely expressed as you.  All the things you are seeking, whether it’s love, joy, compassion, abundance, and grace, you already are. The blessing of the Light is the realization that you are one in the Light.  When I use “Be blessed” or “Be well” as a salutation or a goodbye, it’s another way of saying, “Awaken to your divinity, know that you are blessed.”

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, take the time to meditate on the blessing of the Light.  Know that you are blessed because you are one in God.  Remember that the blessing is the realization of who and whose you are.  Once you know this for yourself, share the love with others by simply saying, “Be Well.”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am blessed and well, because my life is the life of God.  And so it is.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 4 “Surrendering to the Light”

Today’s Body Connection:  The physical practice can be achieved in so many ways.  One option is sports.  Think of the one sports activity you loved when you where in school: football, basketball, volleyball, or swimming. Revisit that sport and commit to doing it once a week.  You don’t have to join a gym; you can find regional sports teams through your YMCA, church, or community center.  Don’t limit your options to just the traditional ideas of working out.  Get out of the box and begin to play again.   When you find the activity that brings you joy, you open the gateway to letting your light shine, and shine bright!

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Once we begin to recognize and understand the Light, we are called to surrender to its will.  The purpose of the Light is to expand and to know more of itself.  Each one of us is an expansion of the Light.  The challenge is that we have forgotten this.  Everyone is an incarnation of the Universal Presence, here to express more of the Light.  Surrendering to the will of God is turning our life over to a divine purpose of sharing Love, Joy, Compassion, Oneness, Abundance, and Grace in every situation in our lives.  When we surrender, we now have a purpose, a calling, and our existence has meaning.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to the Light.  Set the intention to share God wherever you go.  Give your existence meaning.  Create a mantra that elevates your purpose upon the planet.  Before you head out to start your day, speak the words that will fuel your life: “I set the intention to share God everywhere I am.”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the Light that shines wherever I am.  I am the blessing that lights the planet and my life has meaning.  And so it is.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Oneness is the energy of unity, connection to all things.  When we work out we must be willing to see the connection of the mind, body, and spirit.  A mindful training session is one that effectively uses the mind and the spirit to help you achieve the physical task at hand.  We can either zone out while we train, mindlessly moving weights, prone to injury, or we can exercise with the awareness of breathing, movement, and how our body feels.  Mindfulness brings your self back to the present moment.  Do not lose focus; stay awake and keep the unity consciousness alive.

Meditative Thought: Yoga is the practice of yoking together two things that appear to be different, like strength training and stretching your mind and body.  During the practice there comes a time when you become aware that there is no separation of the two, only the unique expression of “The One.”  Our prayer time is our commitment to know the power of God that is our lives.  This communion with the Universal presence elevates our awareness that our life is the life of God; there is no separation.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, meditate on your oneness with God.  Spend time in deep contemplation to up level your consciousness.    Take at least ten minutes and be more aware of your connection to your higher self.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the unique expression of the oneness presence of God.  And so I am.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 18 “Spiritual Endorphins”

Today’s Body Connection:  Have you ever heard someone say, “I am addicted to fitness?”  It’s time to embrace our inner love for being healthy and release the fitness addiction of feeling happy.  The word addiction has such a negative connotation attached to it, but I would like us to change the vibration when we talk about health and fitness health.  The definition of addiction means a continual use of an external substance for an adverse, mind-altering experience.  Whenever we look to the fitness activity as something outside of ourselves it has the tendency to become an addiction.  Yes, we workout to feel better, but there needs to be more.  When we first begin to train the body, we feel a chemical release known as endorphins.  This reaction is a high that is beyond anything we have ever experienced.  If we are not clear about why we work out, we can be chasing the high and never be fulfilled.  The physical practice is about expanding our awareness; everything that we need and desire is already within us.  Today, embrace your inner love for living a life that is healthy.  There will come a time when you don’t feel fit, but you will choose the right action.  Your decisions are based on who you are.  Stand firm in that knowing; it will keep you on the journey of enlightenment.

Meditative Thought: “And you pray to be free, and for your burden to subside.  Hold on I’m the answer!  Pray till you realize, realize.” – Rickie Byars Beckwith’s lyrics from the song, When the River’s Rising.

Prayer is about finding your freedom in the midst of bondage.  Prayer is the key that unlocks the door to your heart’s desire.  When the river of life is raging, hold on, and don’t give up.  Your prayer brings your attention back to God.  Stay in prayer until the Universe awakens your consciousness.  Prayer is the answer to all your problems.  In prayer you’ll find your problem will dissolve, until the truth is the only thing that is left standing.

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Keep praying until something happens.

 

Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I keep praying until something shifts.  And so it is. Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Health and fitness has no finish line, only opportunities for continual growth.  Just when you feel that you have conquered one goal, there will always be another intention to set and achieve.   Think of your practice as a constant invitation to expand your conscious awareness of your inner strength.  The practice has only one purpose and that is to let us know our own divinity.  Every workout will help us to create the life we desire.  There is nothing holding us back from our greatness except the belief that we are less than amazing.

Meditative Thought: “We are affirming, declaring, and claiming the truth about the condition we desire to see manifested, realizing and convincing ourselves of what is true in the absolute realm.” — Linda Watson, ALSP.

Linda Watson, Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner, reminds us that prayer is about changing our consciousness.  No matter what the “story” or situation is, our prayer is to shift our minds away from the problem and look towards the solution.  The solution is always God.  If you are in need of money, your prayer is to connect with the spirit of abundance.  If you are dealing with relationship issues, your prayer is to remember that you are love; therefore you can love.  If you are faced with health challenges, your prayer is to tap into the Divine energy of wholeness.  Release your “story” and embrace your glory.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, examine the situation you are praying about.  Find the spiritual quality that is seeking to emerge from the story.  Here are a few examples: money problems, pray to know your abundance; relationship issues, pray to know self love; work problems, pray to know your divine creativity; sickness and health challenges, pray to reveal your wholeness.  Take time to journal about your insights.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I declare my divine truth within every situation.  Every problem reveals God as a solution.  And so it is. Amen
