DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 14 “Knowing Your Abundance”

Today’s Body Connection:  Fitness and health is an abundant state of mind, a consciousness that comes from an awakening from within.  Today, set the intention to walk with the sole purpose of the activation of abundance within your life.  Stretch to know more flexibility and the movement of the spirit.  Do your pushups to experience more in your daily existence.  Your abundance, like your state of health, comes from your consciousness. You are what you think you are.

Today’s Meditative Thought: There is nothing that the Universe withholds from us.  The Universe is always blessing us with more of itself; more love, more abundance, more joy, more peace, more compassion, and more life.  The real key to receiving spiritual gifts is the awareness of their existence. The activity of God is grace, the gift of the Divine itself.  Grace is the awareness that God is in action, is in order, and it is in balance working for our highest good.  There is always an abundance of Grace waiting to be poured upon us, as much as our consciousness will allow.  The blessing can only be received as much as we believe.  We must set the intention to know the abundance of God that is our life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, know your abundance.  Take the time to contemplate the plentitude of the Universe.  Think of the unending blessings of God.  That is what you have; that is what you are.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I live a life of unending blessings.  My every move is fueled with grace and all is well.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 13 “Oneness with God”

Today’s Body Connection:  Every fitness training session brings us closer to God.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Setting the intention to manifest the life we want begins with knowing your connection with the universal power.  A daily practice of anchoring our oneness with God is the only true action required for manifestation.  Because God is the source of our life, it is that awareness that empowers our desires.  There are three principles for manifestation: The first truth of manifestation is the understanding of the incorporeal essence of God that governs the corporeal nature of man.   Whatever it is that we wish to manifest for our life, God is the source.  The second truth is what we want for our life we must be willing to become.  If we want love, we must be willing to become love.  If we want abundance, we must become an opening for prosperity.  God can only do for us that which we will allow God to do through us.  The third spiritual principle for manifestation is the awareness that we are not here to get anything; we are here to release the presence of God that lives within us.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, every hour on the hour speak a simple mantra that reminds you that you are one with God.  Create an affirmation that anchors your awareness that God lives within you.  It should be easy to remember and filled with passion, e.g., “God is, I am,” or “My Life is the life of God.”  For the next 30 days build a consciousness with statements of truth.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am one with God and life is good.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 12 “Embracing Your Self” 

Today’s Body Connection:  Every intention is a yes for embracing your life force.  The word embrace means to hold tight to something or someone you adore.  Fitness is a big fat yes to life.  When we talk about life, it is the space of being, the vibration the Divine.  When we set the intention to embrace life and activate the universal flow of energy, exercise is one of the greatest tools we have.

Today’s Meditative Thought: This year, set the intention to embrace your self, your full self.  We are our own worst critics.  We can beat ourselves up more than anyone else.  We must learn to accept ourselves and to embrace and love every part of our being.  One of the practices I work on with my clients is “Loving Language” with our selves. When we use language like “I hate my hips” or “I hate my lips,” we anchor a mindset of defeat.  If there is something about yourself that you dislike or wish to change, it is an invitation to create a deeper spiritual practice that will always elevate growth within your life.  With that awareness, we are free to bless that which causes us discomfort as it always leads us back to God.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, speak words of empowerment.  Be aware of your language.  Commit to the practice of the Love Language.  If your words do not inspire you to love your self, don’t speak them.  Take the time to breathe and wait a moment before you speak.  Set the intention to be aware of the power of your language.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I speak the language of Love.  I bless my life with divine words of the Universe.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 7 “Knowing Your Perfection”

Today’s Body Connection: Your goal is always to know your perfection.  Choose the workouts that awaken your awareness of your excellence. If running activates empowerment, run.  If dancing generates joy, than dance.  If yoga is the practice that lets you know that you are divine, this year do more yoga.  Perfection is who we are, not what we do.  To know your divine self, you must go within, do a little self-exploration. To truly know who you are, be willing to take the journey.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Perfection is not what we do; perfection is what we are.  We must constantly remind ourselves that we are more than heartache, lack, limitation, disease, doubt, or fear that we may experience during this human incarnation.  We are divine beings.  We must use our third eye, our spiritual eye, to see beyond our faults, character defects, the ego mind, and other distractions.  There are times in our lives that we cannot recognize the presence of God and need to ask for help.  It could be help from a practitioner, a spiritual counselor, friends, or God itself.   But the only way to truly know God is in the stillness of our hearts.  We must take the take the time to be still and know that God is our life; therefore perfection is what we are.  It is in the stillness, the holy space of our consciousness, where we can experience the true nature of God. We must always set the intention to know more God.  We must set the intention to grow in our spiritual journey.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to see with your third eye.  Set the intention to expand your consciousness though prayer and meditation.  During your day, ask the Universe to reveal itself.  There may be time when you just stop and say a prayer, “God show yourself,” then expect God to show up.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my mind, body, and spirit is the life of God.  I am an on-purpose being on a mission to know God.  As I bless myself, I bless the planet.  Amen.

Today’s Body Connection:  Choose the workouts that help you to remember your intentions.  If you set the goal to be the best you can be, choose a practice that anchors the intention.  The physical should always be in alignment with the mental and spiritual goals. Set the intention to always remember your truth.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Waking up is one thing, but staying awake is a completely different practice.  Remembering to remember our divine self can be more challenging than experiencing “Ah-Ha” moments. Each and every day there are eye-opening insights that activate evolution, but then comes the action required to implement true change.  Once we begin the journey to shift, we must continue the work in order to remember.  This could come from prayer, meditation, sacred study, fellowship, and self-contemplation.  Set the intention to “remember to remember” every day.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to stay awake.  A quick mantra can always help: “I am one with God.”  Create your mantra that keeps you on track.  Commit to a practice of aligning yourself with the one power of God.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the qualities of God is my life.  I “remember to remember” my purpose.

Today’s Body Connection:  Fun workouts are the best.  When we choose to exercise in the enjoyable realm or happy vibrational field, we stick with it.  Be willing to experience the quality of Joy as you run, walk, or jog.  Let your heart be glad when you do your strength training.  Be in the joy always when you enter your yoga classes.  The vibration you choose to have is the energy that fuels your practice.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Today is the day we set the intention to do what brings us joy. When we connect with God within, we connect with the divine qualities of the Holy Spirit. Joy is the highest form of energetic vibrations. One spiritual practice is to always find the joy within our lives.  All of our master teachers encourage us to be in the joy always. No matter what you are going through, find your joy. Delight in the realization that you are an unique expression of the Universe. Rejoice and allow your light to shine.  When we understand who and what we are, it becomes easy to find our Joy.  No matter what, we are always in God; therefore we can always activate Joy.  Set the intention to remember you are joy, and it is waiting to rise up.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, do what brings you joy.  Take time to meditate and to identify what brings you divine happiness, then go and do it!

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am Joy rising and I live a life filled with blessings.  Amen.

Today’s Body Connection:  If you are bored with your fitness routine, it is time to start again.  The energy of boredom comes from the inability to touch your inner creativity.   Revamping your training regime is a great way to restart your fitness program.  Be willing to go within and ask yourself what is missing.  Take the time for self-exploration.  When we become willing to shift the way we train our body-temples, infinite possibilities become our truth.  There are many pathways to wholeness; be willing to shift direction.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Setting intentions means opening our consciousness and creating space to grow.  We must be willing to release our old ideas so that we may have new experiences on our spiritual walk.  Our intentions set into motion the clearing away of old paradigms that no longer serve us.  It is the open space that gives us breathing room so that new and powerful transformative work can take place.  When we set the intention to be more, there must be a willingness to ask the question, “What must I release? What must I become?”  The intention to transform is the intention to become more. 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set aside everything you think you know about your journey so that you are open and free to have a new and fresh experience in God.  Use the “set aside prayer”; “May I set aside everything I think I know about ____  (fill in the blank) so that I may have a new experience.”  Be willing to release everything that no longer serves you.  Create a space for transformation.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am a new experience in the mind of God.  My life is a fresh idea that blesses the planet.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 22  “Light Has No Boundaries”

Today’s Body Connection:  Retaining your core is half the battle for strengthening.  As you read this, notice your posture: are you slouching? Bad habits are hard to break, but we can change anything that no longer serves us.  Transformation begins with awareness.  You must turn on the light so it may shine.  Roll your shoulders back, lift your chin, and brace your core, creating a strong foundation as you sit, stand, or walk.  Allowing the light to shine comes from knowing your own strength.  When you raise and erect the torso, your light knows no boundaries.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The Light cannot be put into a box.  Some people think that God only exists within the four walls of their churches, in their perception, and/or in their religion, and yet they speak of the omnipresence of God.  When I saw a performance of the Broadway play “Fela,” and I had a truly Divine experience.  Through the music, dancing, and acting, I felt the creative force of God.  I was forever transformed.  In that moment, I had an instant download of the expansiveness of the Spirit.  It transcends all things.  Any idea of God that we may have is probably too small.  God is more than we can imagine, conceptualize, or describe.  God has no boundaries.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, open your mind and allow God to be God.  Break down your boundaries and free up any ideas of how God should look in your life.  Be willing to see the true miracles unfold within you.  Every time you begin to imagine what God is, simply say, “God is much bigger than that.”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am an expansive space for God to shine through.  And so I am. Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Finding your health and fitness inspiration comes from recognizing your inner light.  While you are exploring different ways of training, be open to motivation and inspirational tools to present themselves.  When you say yes to a healthy lifestyle, encouragement will show up when you need it.  Be open to the light and it will show you the way.

Today’s Meditative Thought: What is your intention?  Why have you come to this plane of existence?  We are here to share the Light.  When we set the intention to fulfill God’s agreement, our life has meaning.  When the Light is the intention, all problems fade away.  We must free ourselves by setting the intention to share God. When anything else, like money, fame, or notoriety, becomes the focus, our true purpose becomes lost, and we are unfulfilled.  The Light is the only thing that gives us inspiration.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to activate the Light.  Find the purpose for your life through your connection with God.  Meditate on your oneness with spirit and allow your focus to be the Light.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the pure expression of the Light, and I am a great way for Love to flow.   Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Working with a trainer is a great way to stay focused and accountable to your practice.  As a personal trainer, I not only become a tool for inspiration, I become a friend, willing to stand with my clients as they transform their body-temples.  A coach can be exactly what you need to jump-start your physical practice.  Be open to having a new experience; allow a coach to shine their light and help you with their body of knowledge gathered through experience.   Prosperity and abundance of information is at your fingertips and can be giving through a coach, just be open to receive it.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The Light is always prosperous, flourishing, and abundant.  When we surrender ourselves to God, these are the gifts that we receive.  We get to participate in the enjoyment of life.  There is nothing that the Holy Spirit withholds from us.  We have it all; we only need to be woken up.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, awaken the Light within you and enjoy your life.  Everything you have is a blessing.  Celebrate the prosperity of the Light.  Create a mantra that empowers your plenitude.  There is more than enough.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am free and I participate in my own enjoyment of life.
