DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 9 “Your Divine Energy”

Today’s Body Connection:  What is your source of energy?  What energizes your practice?  The divine fuels your workouts and it keeps you from quitting.  When you want to give up, ask your higher self to boost your workouts.  Set the intention to power your training with the force of God.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Set the intention to connect with your divine energy.  The pathway of roses or the journey to your higher self is the purpose of our existence.  We have heard it over and over again: “To thy own self be true” or “You are the author of your own life.”  We can only be authentic by remembering who and what we are.  That is always the first step toward our greatness.  These great Avatars invite us to remember our divine energy.  I believe this can only be achieved through the stillness.  Your divine energy is the source of you, and it is what drives you into action.  Whenever I teach yoga, I remind the class and myself that this physical activity is a tool to remember our true spirit.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today. remember your divine energy.  Set the intention to go within to connect with Source, so that you can be the author of your existence.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the author of my life.  With the Divine, I co-create a magnanimous existence.  And Life is good.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 7 “Knowing Your Perfection”

Today’s Body Connection: Your goal is always to know your perfection.  Choose the workouts that awaken your awareness of your excellence. If running activates empowerment, run.  If dancing generates joy, than dance.  If yoga is the practice that lets you know that you are divine, this year do more yoga.  Perfection is who we are, not what we do.  To know your divine self, you must go within, do a little self-exploration. To truly know who you are, be willing to take the journey.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Perfection is not what we do; perfection is what we are.  We must constantly remind ourselves that we are more than heartache, lack, limitation, disease, doubt, or fear that we may experience during this human incarnation.  We are divine beings.  We must use our third eye, our spiritual eye, to see beyond our faults, character defects, the ego mind, and other distractions.  There are times in our lives that we cannot recognize the presence of God and need to ask for help.  It could be help from a practitioner, a spiritual counselor, friends, or God itself.   But the only way to truly know God is in the stillness of our hearts.  We must take the take the time to be still and know that God is our life; therefore perfection is what we are.  It is in the stillness, the holy space of our consciousness, where we can experience the true nature of God. We must always set the intention to know more God.  We must set the intention to grow in our spiritual journey.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to see with your third eye.  Set the intention to expand your consciousness though prayer and meditation.  During your day, ask the Universe to reveal itself.  There may be time when you just stop and say a prayer, “God show yourself,” then expect God to show up.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my mind, body, and spirit is the life of God.  I am an on-purpose being on a mission to know God.  As I bless myself, I bless the planet.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 4 “Love Yourself”

Today’s Body Connection:  Our main intention for physical practice is to learn to love ourselves.  There is nothing outside of our consciousness or awareness that can fulfill us like self-love.  When we set the goal to grow from the inside out, it doesn’t matter what the physical practice is, it will always have the same outcome: empowerment.  The journey to self-love can be long and challenging, but it is always worth it.  You are worth it.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The greatest love is self-love, not a conceited type of love, but a love with the understanding of who and whose you are.  Set the intention to go deep within and connect with your divine self.  This is the Holy Spirit that is the one and only power source that is your life.  You are one in God; therefore you are always in love, divine love.  Love is your DNA.  Love is what you are.  Set the intention to know yourself as Love, having a human incarnation.  The Course in Miracles says that if you are not in a mindset of love, you are blocking God’s miracle for your life.  Whenever we forget that we are love and to love ourselves, we hinder the flow of God, and we cannot love others.  Remember, it is your natural state of being, to Love.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, meditate on remembering self-love.  At the top of each hour, remind yourself that you are Love; therefore you can love in all situations.  Set the intention to be mindful of who and what you are.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am powered with love and I bless the planet with Love.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 2  “Creating Open Spaces”

Today’s Body Connection:  If you are bored with your fitness routine, it is time to start again.  The energy of boredom comes from the inability to touch your inner creativity.   Revamping your training regime is a great way to restart your fitness program.  Be willing to go within and ask yourself what is missing.  Take the time for self-exploration.  When we become willing to shift the way we train our body-temples, infinite possibilities become our truth.  There are many pathways to wholeness; be willing to shift direction.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Setting intentions means opening our consciousness and creating space to grow.  We must be willing to release our old ideas so that we may have new experiences on our spiritual walk.  Our intentions set into motion the clearing away of old paradigms that no longer serve us.  It is the open space that gives us breathing room so that new and powerful transformative work can take place.  When we set the intention to be more, there must be a willingness to ask the question, “What must I release? What must I become?”  The intention to transform is the intention to become more. 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set aside everything you think you know about your journey so that you are open and free to have a new and fresh experience in God.  Use the “set aside prayer”; “May I set aside everything I think I know about ____  (fill in the blank) so that I may have a new experience.”  Be willing to release everything that no longer serves you.  Create a space for transformation.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am a new experience in the mind of God.  My life is a fresh idea that blesses the planet.  Amen.

Today’s Body Connection:  Endurance and Strength go hand in hand.  You cannot increase your endurance without increasing your strength.  And when you exercise for longer periods of time, you will increase your strength and your endurance.  When we move from the awareness that both are connected, it does not matter what you are doing, you will not get the results you desire.  Take the time to go for a long walk or a power run.  Work out with weights, or go for a swim.  It’s all good. It’s all divine.  It’s all perfect.

Today’s Meditative Thought: As we celebrate the birth of the Christ Consciousness we become aware of how God shows up within our lives.  The Light only expresses itself as Love, the highest consciousness there is.  When we feel the presence of God within our hearts that is the Light making itself known to us.  We can become aware of the Divine through a person, place, thing, or a moment of silence.  God is everywhere; we can hear it in a song, we can feel it when we talk to a friend, or while reading a book.  All of these moments bring us back to the realization of divine love.  When we see God expressing itself, it is important that we declare it as what it is…Love.  The recognition of Grace, or God in action, helps us to remember the one power that is always active.  The Christ Consciousness is the awareness that we are one with Mother… Father…God, and there is nothing that the power of God cannot do as us.  “I do nothing, but it is the Spirit within me that does all things.”

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, when you feel the presence of God, touch your heart, close your eyes, and take a deep breath.  Recognize the experience of God you are having.  The more aware of God we become, the more experience of God we will have.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the Light expresses itself as me.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Desk fitness is what you do when you don’t have time to get outside or go to a gym to exercise. While you are sitting at your desk, contract and relax your tummy muscles to work your abdominals.  Stand and sit 25 times, three times a day, to work your legs.  Make sure you continue to stretch your upper body to stay flexible during this sedentary time of your life.  Any time is a great time to work out if you are willing. Your purpose for your life is to live it to the fullest.  Be willing and you will recognize that each and every place is a great place to move the body-temple, letting the light shine.

Today’s Meditative Thought: When we ask the question, “Why am I here?” the answer is always to be a “bringer” of the Light.  When we understand that we are the Light, then everywhere we go we carry each and every quality of God.  Understand your mission.  We are not in this part of our existence to get anything; we are here to bring forth the Universal presence.  This is what gives our life meaning.  This is what elevates our experience.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to bring the light wherever you go.  Tap into the God space before leaving for your daily destination.  Begin to pray for the space you are heading to.  Activate love; send the Light ahead to make the crooked path straight and the rough places nice and smooth.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is a magnet for only good.  I live as God, blessing the planet.  I am one with the Light, and life is Divine.  And so it is. Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Finding your health and fitness inspiration comes from recognizing your inner light.  While you are exploring different ways of training, be open to motivation and inspirational tools to present themselves.  When you say yes to a healthy lifestyle, encouragement will show up when you need it.  Be open to the light and it will show you the way.

Today’s Meditative Thought: What is your intention?  Why have you come to this plane of existence?  We are here to share the Light.  When we set the intention to fulfill God’s agreement, our life has meaning.  When the Light is the intention, all problems fade away.  We must free ourselves by setting the intention to share God. When anything else, like money, fame, or notoriety, becomes the focus, our true purpose becomes lost, and we are unfulfilled.  The Light is the only thing that gives us inspiration.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to activate the Light.  Find the purpose for your life through your connection with God.  Meditate on your oneness with spirit and allow your focus to be the Light.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the pure expression of the Light, and I am a great way for Love to flow.   Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 7 – “Peace”

Today’s Body Connection:  Today is the day we connect with the peace of transformation.  When a training session is uncomfortable, we must look for the peace.  When a yoga pose feels unachievable, stop fighting and make peace with it.  When you are only halfway through your cardio workout and you want to give up, embrace the second half with an attitude of Love.  When we make peace with our thoughts, our body will listen.  When we accept the test, we will transcend any and all challenges.

The answer to war is always Love, and it begins with loving yourself.  Once you begin to truly love you, then you are free to love others and that will transform the planet.  We cannot fight war or terrorism with more violence.  This radical transformation requires a new way of operating.  Today, pray for peace and begin to love yourself.  This is the “vibrational” shift that is required.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, make peace with yourself.  Identify within yourself what it is you are fighting, and make peace with it.  This does not mean to give up and simply accept it; on the contrary, it means to let go of the attachment to a certain outcome, to release the control of how it needs to look. This includes the way you look in your jeans.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I live above the battlefield of conflict and I activate the power of peace within my life.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Everyday is a new day; therefore every workout is a new workout.  Every time we step into our physical practice, we can begin again, creating a unique experience.   During weight training, each repetition within a set represents a new beginning.  We must learn to focus on one repetition at a time, from the start to the end.  As we move the weight, we learn to breathe into the movement, so that each inhale announces the start of the work and each exhale indicates the finish.  Today, begin again with your awareness that every day, workout, exercise, repetition, breath, and moment is new.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Once you have paused and taken a breath, you are ready to begin again.  Life is a series of starting over.  Every breath is new, every moment is a beginning, and every idea is a fresh beginning in the mind of God.  When life gets a little interesting, just push the restart button and begin again.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember you can always begin again; just stop, breathe, and be still.  Simply push your personal restart button.  Decide what is the best way for you to begin again and do it as often as you need.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I breathe in the new breath of God.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 11 – “Love and Forgive”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, no matter what your body weight is, God loves you.  Even when you fall off your diet, you can never lose favor with your higher self.   The Universe is an absolute power of love that can only express love.  It knows nothing about your falling off the wagon or your 25-pound weight gain.  So often we equate Love with what we look like.  God only sees your divine self, your spirit.  As you connect with your body-temple, know that you are always blessed.  There are times when we bring the practice in alignment with our intentions, and sometimes we don’t.  Don’t judge it as right or wrong; understand that we are on a path of the transformation of the body, mind, and spirit.  There will be times that our eating will be dead on and our consistency of training is the best it has ever been.  But there will also be times when we won’t be as focused as we would like to be.  Remember, God’s love is not contingent on the size of our jeans; love is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow, it is nonjudgmental and unchanging.”  Be grateful that no matter how many times you fall, you can always get back up and keep moving.  God loves you no matter what.

Today’s Meditative Thought: True redemption is the act of forgiving yourself and setting your mind to rest.  Long after we have received the forgiveness of God and the person we have wronged, we continue to hold on to the guilt, convincing ourselves that God could never love us again.  We have the choice to make things right within our mind.  The redemptive power of God is the knowing that we are loved no matter what.  Yes, we must make things right with those we have harmed, but we must ultimately make things right within ourselves.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that God loves you no matter what.  Your past is forgotten and forgiven; the only thing we must do is forgiving ourselves.  Examine your life and see if there is anything you are holding on to that needs to be forgiven and/or released.  It is time to place it on the Alter of Forgiveness.  As you workout, you might create a mantra that is about forgiving your shortcomings.  “I forgive myself for forgetting myself” or “I forgive myself for the weight gain.”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to redeem my mind with self-love and forgiveness.  Amen
