oDAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 6 “Song of Prayer”

Today’s Body Connection:  When you work out, try infusing your activity with music.  Music can up-level your consciousness while your transform your body.  During the fitness classes I teach, music is an essential element to the class.  Music helps to keep the rhythm and the pulse of the workout.  It can take your mind off the discomfort associated with exercise. The vibration of music can also elevate the energy of the workout session.  Music has a way of connecting with the heart chakra, allowing you to feel the energy of love.  During your next training session, mindfully choose music that will assist you with the work you have said yes to.

Meditative Thought: Singing is the same as praying twice.  The lyrics send out a vibration, accompanied by the vibrations of the melody.  Whenever you sing, your vibration is lifted to new heights.  The music helps to anchor our spirit.  Every song has a message.  What song do you sing?

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, sing your prayers.  It doesn’t matter if you think you can sing or not; it’s about your intentions to elevate your consciousness.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, “Sing, sing a song, make it simple to last the whole day long.  Don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing, sing a song.”  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 1 “Creating a Practice”

Today’s Body Connection:  We have all heard the saying, “practice makes perfect.” Now let’s change it around: “perfect makes practice.”  What I mean by that is when we understand our divine perfection we free ourselves to do the practice required to sustain that awareness.  For the next 30 days commit to a physical practice.  When we begin to move our body we activate a spirit of hope.  Every time we say yes to fitness, everything else becomes a reflection of the practice.  Walk, run, dance, weight train, it does not matter; get moving and watch your life unfold to greatness.

Meditative Thought:  Do something for 30 days and the practice becomes embedded in your consciousness.  I invite you to take part in the next 30 Days of faith, hope, prayer, and gratitude to help transform your body, mind, and spirit.   Join me on a 30-day journey exploring the practices that empower your life, experiencing prayer, meditation, affirmations, and a commitment to physical activity.  It doesn’t matter what you believe; just know that there is one universal force that expresses itself in so many ways.  The next 30 days focus on the space we practice from, not who we practice to. Make a commitment to pray for your family and friends, and be grateful for the people in your life.  I believe that the practice is the spiritual answer to every problem.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, take all your cares and worries to prayer.  The outcome will amaze you.  Write a letter to God. Tell the Universe about what ails you.  Now imagine a God bigger than your problems.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, in the mind of God I have no problems or issues.  God is bigger than any worries I could have.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 28 – “It Takes Time”

Today’s Body Connection:  When you want to shift your body, remember that it takes time.  Question: How long did it take you to get in poor condition?  There are no overnight solutions.  Be patient as you transform your body-temple.  Sometimes it takes longer than we want to allow time for.  Allow yourself a realistic time goal.  Transformation takes as much time as it needs; it cannot be rushed.  Breathe and let go of your time expectations.  It will happen in its divine time.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  It takes time to transform your consciousness.  There are levels of awakening; the journey is filled with many facets. There is the Ah-ha moment, the realization that change is needed.  Then comes the level of deep contemplation, when we ask the question: How can I apply this new thought to my life?  Next come the action plan, the practice, and beginning to do what is required for the change to happen.  The last level is the being, the “yin of transformation.”  We become the shift and we live the transformation.

 

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, walk through each level and know this is about the journey; there is no destination.  It takes time for a lasting transformation to happen.

 

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I embrace every level of the transformation.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 26 – “Determination and Tenacity”

Today’s Body Connection:  One of the great challenges while transforming the body-temple is staying with and adhering to the required program.  Your determination to complete the goal requires “staying power.”  You will always come to a fitness crossroad; your choices are to keep going or to give up.  Your tenacity and persistence is the key.  You cannot win if you are not in.  You must stay in the game.  That old saying rings true: “Quitters never win and winners never quit.”  To put a new spin on it, “You can’t win a game if you don’t play.”  Trust me, it’s one of the hardest challenges of your life, but transforming your body-temple from unhealthy to healthy is the most fulfilling goal you will ever achieve.

Today’s Meditative Thought: True and deep transformation requires determination and tenacity to see God’s plan come to fruition.  You are the divine vision in living form.  The shift will happen if you don’t give up.  Be determined to stay in the race.  We all have great insights, but when we cease the work that is required, or we don’t see change right away, we shelve our dreams and move on.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, be determined; continue to allow your transformation to come forth.  Stick with it no matter what.  Find an accountability partner who will stand with you no matter what, even when you don’t want to continue.  Once you have connected with your partner, make the commitment to stand with them.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am determined and filled with divine tenacity to see my transformation come to life.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 23 – “Remembering”

Today’s Body Connection:  Every workout is a time to remember who and who’s you are.  Our life is a dance of forgetting and remembering our power.  The physical practice is always a tool for remembering, if we set the intention.  When you do cardiovascular training, remember your capacity to breathe.  When you lift weights, remind yourself of the never-ending strength that lives within your soul.  When you take a Pilates class or train your core, remind yourself that a strong foundation is needed to build your life.  And our yoga practice is a reminder to be more flexible in our lives.  Our physical practice reminds us of the spiritual journey we have said yes to.  It is all connected!

Today’s Meditative Thought: Transformation is the journey of remembering who and who’s you are.  Today, remember that you are divine and fine.  There is only one thing to change, your consciousness and that is everything.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, transform the way you see yourself; be still and remember.  Mindfully move through your day with only empowering thoughts.  Whenever you think of your body-temple, bless it with love.  This might be a challenge at first but you can do it.  Set the intention to remember to be kind and love to your self.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to remember.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  The body transformation requires you to be open to new practices.  Your old paradigms have brought you to this desire to shift, but you cannot do it while dwelling on the past.  When we say yes to transformation we must be willing to shift the way we did things in the past.  It is your willingness to change your way of being that will allow you to grow. When you are willing to sacrifice your old habits, you begin to make room for new life expressing itself as you.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  During your transformation, be open to new and wonderful experiences.  The shift will bring forth exciting opportunities to see things differently.  The Universe will become new and Ah-ha moments will be the norm.  You eyes will be opened, and you will never see the world like you used to.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, invite yourself to set aside everything you think you know so that you may have a new experience. Stay open to new and wonderful ways to connect with God.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am open to a new way of living.  I surrender to God and allow blessings to cushion my footsteps.  And so it is.

Today’s Body Connection:  Our physical transformation is the beginning of deeper revelations seeking to emerge.  The transformation isn’t how we look; it’s how we feel inside.  Our weight may fluctuate, so we can never call it a transformation, but when our awareness shifts from self-deprivation to self-love, true change has happened.  The only thing that can elevate our consciousness is the power of love; it knows no lack or limitation, so connect with love, empowers your personal growth.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Love is the real transformer.  When you are looking to shift your existence, always look to Love — Love for yourself, Love for your relationships, Love for your job, Love for your planet.  You can only transform something by living at a higher vibration than the situation, and Love is the highest vibration.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, live above the vibration of the situation.  Journal and keep track of your insights and your transformation.  Take the time to be present with your growth.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I look to Love for my real transformation.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 16 – “Faith Is the Key”

Today’s Body Connection:  Today, have faith that your transformation is happening.  Do not go by your external appearance; you may be the last to notice the changes in your body.  Everything you do accumulates; every walk, run, and/or yoga class adds to your fitness bank account.  When you lift weights, have faith that you are getting stronger.  When you jump on the elliptical machine, know that your cardiovascular condition is improving.  During yoga trust, you are on a personal journey to higher consciousness.  All physical transformation begins with some small leap of faith that a change can happen.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Faith is the key during your transformation.  You might not see the change you desire or the life you want right away, but have faith; your transformation is happening.  Turn all your concerns and worries over to God and allow the Universe to do its thing.  Have faith in God, have faith in Love, have faith in faith, and have faith in yourself.  This is your time to transform and co-create with God the life you are meant to live.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, have faith as you transform your life.  Create a mantra that anchors your faith!  Every hour on the hour, use the mantra to remind yourself of the journey you have said yes to.  Take a breath, slow down, and remember.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I stand in my faith that my transformation is happening now.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 9 – “Say Yes”

Today’s Body Connection:  Say yes to mindful eating.  When we are aware of what we put into our bodies, we take responsibility for our transformation.   Let’s change our language about food and how we look at food. Dieting is out, mindful eating is in.  A diet is restrictive and full of limitations, but mindful eating is filled with a vibration of infinite possibilities.  When you say yes to committing to eating food with a higher nutritional value, you will function better and you will feel better.  You will be better.  Our body-temple practice is about being more of who we truly are.  Eating is something that we cannot give up, but we can always be more aware of what we eat.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Transformation is saying yes to the divine qualities of God.  Ask yourself, “What qualities am I bringing today?” and be willing to show that quality.  When you see a lack of compassion, be willing to be compassionate.  When you see an appearance of need, give the gift of giving.  When we say yes, everything happens because of that yes.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, allow love, joy, peace, oneness, abundance, and prosperity to be your Personal Law.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I say yes to the divine qualities of life.  I am God expressing itself as me.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 15 – “Low State or High State”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, living a healthy life is based on awareness, a divine mindfulness that you cannot separate the mind from the body and the body from the spirit.  It is all connected.  Health and fitness is a higher state of consciousness.  When we eat, we must remember that it is a spiritual experience.  Not only do we pray and thank God for the food we are about to receive, but eating is also about nourishment of the body-temple, home of your spirit.  Our fitness has more than a superficial meaning, if we choose.  There is a difference between working out to know your divinity and working out to get into your skinny jeans.  It’s not about wrong our or right, just different levels of consciousness.  It’s about our awareness and our intentions.  To know your divine self is a high state of consciousness; to drop a dress size or two is a low state of consciousness.  The higher state will always bring us inner peace, while the lower state’s recompense is fleeting and disappointing.  Choose the higher state.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The low state of consciousness is when we are asleep to the greatness that is within ourselves.  The high state of consciousness is when this greatness is activated and in use.  Today is the day we wake up and set the planet ablaze.  It is time to transform our world and it begins with you.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember you can be in a low state of consciousness or a high state of consciousnesses.  Today is a day of awareness.  Stay awake!

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember the time to transform is now.  And so it is.  Amen
