This Week’s Meditative Thought – You Are the Light of God

Happy Labor Day! I hope that you all have been enjoying the long holiday weekend. I know I have. This week we kick-off with a focus on letting your inner light shine.  Remember, you are a gift to this planet and that the Universe is keyed to support that gift. It’s what allows us to step out and boldly approach your destiny. Cultivate God’s light through your gifts and talents and let your light shine.

This Week’s Spiritual Assignment:

Throughout this week remember that you are the light of God and that you are meant to let that light shine.  Take a breath, be still, and contemplate what it means to shine your light as God. For the next week; morning, noon, and night take five to ten minutes to meditate and cultivate the light that is you.

Many blessings and have a terrific week.

Monday Meditative Thought – Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude

Creating a Practice

This month we’ll focus on Faith, Hope Prayer and Gratitude as our theme with “Practice” being the key this week. Most researchers agree that to do something for 30 days in a routine can become part of your consciousness. I invite you this month to explore the practices that empower your life, experiencing prayer, meditation, affirmations, and a commitment to physical activity. It doesn’t matter what you believe; just know that there is one universal force that expresses itself in so many ways. For the next 30 days focus on the space we practice from, not who we practice to. Make a commitment to pray for your family and friends, and be grateful for the people in your life.

This week’s action plan. Throughout the week, take take all your cares and worries to prayer. Write a letter to God. Tell the Universe about what ails you. Now imagine a God bigger than your problems.

Monday Meditative Thought – The Journey

Transformation as a Journey

As we enter the final week of our theme on renewal, I want to highlight that transformation is a journey and not a destination. Once you think you have arrived at your destination or goal, ask yourself a question, “Where does this road of transformation lead?” By asking this question, it creates an openness and willingness to grow and be more of our authentic self.

This week’s Action Plan: Embrace the journey of transformation. Take a breath, open your heart, and keep moving. Remember, you are on your journey, taking it in one step at a time, observant and knowing that your journey of enlightenment is unfolding.

Monday Meditative Thought – Download Directions of the Devine

This week’s meditation thought will focus on what I like to call the triple “D’s” or the “Download Directions of the Devine” Much like the multitude of gadgets that aim to keep us focused, we should also tune ourselves for insight and revelations to help us focus our shift and transform our lives. This Download Directions of the Devine is attained via a practice of prayer, meditation, and sacred study.  Take a minute, two, five or what you can spare and start. It is through these Aha moments that give us the opportunities to be present and awake and ask God for the insights you need to change your life.

This week’s Action Plan: All this weeks look for divine guidance for transformation or triple D’s. Taking those moments you set aside and begin contemplating your next steps via prayer, meditation and sacred study, and begin to outline the goal plus obstacles needed to overcome that which you are seeking.

Monday Meditative Thought – You Are The Light…

Start this wonderful week of September by getting into the proper meditative thought. Begin by reminding ourselves that you are a gift to this planet and you have said yes to a mission that only you can do.  The Universe supports your vision, so step out and boldly approach your destiny.  Bring God’s light through your gifts and talents. Let your light shine.

Today’s Action Plan:  Remember that all day this week that you are the light of God and that you are meant to let that light shine.   Take a breath, be still, and contemplate what it means to shine your light as God.  Morning, noon, and night take five to ten minutes to meditate and cultivate the light that is you.

Monday Meditative Thought – Embracing Study

Welcome back, I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. For today’s Meditative thought I would like to focus on practice. It’s a fact that the more we practice, the better we become. That said, the more we spend in the practice of sacred study it expands our spiritual consciousness.  It is like a bank account; it is accumulative.  When there is an embrace of spiritual academia, there is always a growth that takes place.  Each word, each sentence, each phase activates your personal intention to know more.  When we study, there is an activation of divine knowledge within our souls that has always been there; we are now simply turning it on.

We must fully surrender to the call of our spirit; it wants to know more God.  Sacred study feeds the hunger.  When we find ourselves in a class or a spiritual community, feeding our spiritual souls, we become a beacon for goodness.  We begin to radiate this knowledge that we are taking in.  We illuminate the darkness as our consciousness grows.

Monday Meditative Thought – Today is the Only Day

© M B / Attribution-ShareAlikeWhy do we worry about the future? Why do we worry about having enough tomorrow? If we can remember that the Universe is our source in this moment, we begin to activate true power. God only works in the now; the universe is the present.  We only have this breath that we are breathing right now. We cannot operate in the future or the past.  We do not have moments outside of the now.    The power is in the present.  That’s why they call life a “gift.”  Experience life right now.  Do not wait; tomorrow never comes and yesterday is always gone.

Monday Meditation- Deepak Chopra’s Law of Giving and Receiving

Blads of grass by Sarah Klockars-ClauseHappy Birthday…

In celebrating a milestone birthday, I am 50 years young today, I wanted to share this word of wisdom for this week’s Monday Meditation. Deepak Chopra’s three laws of giving.

Peace and blessings,

Skip

1. Wherever I go, and whomever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. The gift may be a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. Today, I will give something to everyone I come into contact with, and so I will begin the process of circulating joy, wealth and affluence in my life and in the lives of others.

2. Today I will gratefully receive all the gifts that life has to offer me. I will receive the gifts of nature: sunlight and the sound of birds singing, or spring showers or the first snow of winter. I will also be open to receiving from others, whether it be in the form of a material gift, money, a compliment or a prayer.

3. I will make a commitment to keep wealth circulating in my life by giving and receiving life’s most precious gifts: the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation and love. Each time I meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy and laughter.
