DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 4 “Freedom”

Today’s Body Connection:  The reason for exercising the body is to activate freedom within our lives.  When the body hinders us, our “dis-ease” is all we think about.  When de-condition is the way of life, it has a way of dimensioning our hope.  Allow your physical practice the opportunity to improve your quality of life.  You are worth it.  The goal is always to feel better.  Today set the intention to improve your life with a strong physical practice.

Meditative Thought: Affirmative Prayer is the practice of freedom.  When we speak an affirmation or affirmative prayer we choose to co-creation with the Universe.  When we speak with authority we begin to lose the chains of bondage.  Praying to a God outside of us, hoping that a blessing will come…is powerless.  When we realize our oneness with the Universe, we empower our lives.  Affirmative Prayer is the knowing that you have everything you need and that you’re free to live your fullest life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, pray to a God that lives within you.   Speak to Spirit like you would to an old friend, because it is.  The Universe has been with you since before time, and it will never leave you.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I pray to God that lives within me.  I am one with infinite Spirit.  I allow my prayers to activate Divine inspiration in my life.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 3 “Affirmative Language in Use”

Today’s Body Connection:  When you work out, what is the language you use?  What words fuel your workout?  “Yes I can” or “Oh no, not again”?  Our language and thoughts coagulate into our existence; we must be aware of what we say as we work out.   Our words can either assist us or block us from our goals.  The practice is not only to work the body, but we must also be willing to empower the workout with a strong mental and verbal practice.  As we speak words that empower, we will see a shift and the body will move with grace and power like never before.

Meditative Thought: Why Affirmative Prayer?  Prayer is our spiritual thoughts, and thoughts create our existence.  If we believe that The Universe is out to get us, then that becomes our truth.  If we declare our separation from The Divine and live as a victim, we deem ourselves as powerless.  Affirmative prayer is a tool to shift our consciousness from victim to Victor.  Prayer is a way to return our mind and our thinking back to God.  The prodigal son only remains the prodigal son as long as he wants.  He always had the power to return home.  Prayer is our road map home.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, consciously release the victim mentality and begin living life as a victory.  At the end of your day, take time to journal your experience.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I pray to shift.  I am a Victor and I release the victim.  And so I am.  And so I let it be.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 1 “Creating a Practice”

Today’s Body Connection:  We have all heard the saying, “practice makes perfect.” Now let’s change it around: “perfect makes practice.”  What I mean by that is when we understand our divine perfection we free ourselves to do the practice required to sustain that awareness.  For the next 30 days commit to a physical practice.  When we begin to move our body we activate a spirit of hope.  Every time we say yes to fitness, everything else becomes a reflection of the practice.  Walk, run, dance, weight train, it does not matter; get moving and watch your life unfold to greatness.

Meditative Thought:  Do something for 30 days and the practice becomes embedded in your consciousness.  I invite you to take part in the next 30 Days of faith, hope, prayer, and gratitude to help transform your body, mind, and spirit.   Join me on a 30-day journey exploring the practices that empower your life, experiencing prayer, meditation, affirmations, and a commitment to physical activity.  It doesn’t matter what you believe; just know that there is one universal force that expresses itself in so many ways.  The next 30 days focus on the space we practice from, not who we practice to. Make a commitment to pray for your family and friends, and be grateful for the people in your life.  I believe that the practice is the spiritual answer to every problem.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, take all your cares and worries to prayer.  The outcome will amaze you.  Write a letter to God. Tell the Universe about what ails you.  Now imagine a God bigger than your problems.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, in the mind of God I have no problems or issues.  God is bigger than any worries I could have.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 29 – Threefold Transformation”

Today’s Body Connection:  As your journey unfolds, you will become aware of your personal trinity: the mind, body, and spirit can never be separated; they are aspects of self, making up the one.  Each piece represents an intricate part of our lives that simultaneously affects other parts.  The way we think affects the way the body moves.  How the body feels can influence the way we think.  Any spiritual practice can be swayed by how we think and feel.  The Hindu practice of Yoga is to prepare the body for meditation.  If the body is stretched and relaxed, it can sit for longer periods of time in the stillness, allowing for deeper realization and cultivation.  Awareness is key; understanding that the three are connected allows your journey to be full and effective.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Transformation is threefold: Mind, Body, and Spirit.  It’s all or nothing.  All three are connected.  You can’t truly transform your body, your relationship, and/or your life until you shift the way you think.  And every transformation must come from God within your spirit that knows it must be set free.  Every malady in your life has a spiritual solution, and once we tap into that knowledge our life will change, our bodies with shift, and our lives will be better. We will experience a lasting transformation. We will stop riding the train of change and we will be on the ship of transformation.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, put into practice the tools that will shift your spirit; change the way you think, and your life will expand.  Commit to the physical, mental, and spiritual practice that is working for you.  Push the restart button again, if need be.  Get moving and/or keep moving no matter what.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my transformation is to Mind, Body, and Spirit.  And so it is.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  When you want to shift your body, remember that it takes time.  Question: How long did it take you to get in poor condition?  There are no overnight solutions.  Be patient as you transform your body-temple.  Sometimes it takes longer than we want to allow time for.  Allow yourself a realistic time goal.  Transformation takes as much time as it needs; it cannot be rushed.  Breathe and let go of your time expectations.  It will happen in its divine time.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  It takes time to transform your consciousness.  There are levels of awakening; the journey is filled with many facets. There is the Ah-ha moment, the realization that change is needed.  Then comes the level of deep contemplation, when we ask the question: How can I apply this new thought to my life?  Next come the action plan, the practice, and beginning to do what is required for the change to happen.  The last level is the being, the “yin of transformation.”  We become the shift and we live the transformation.

 

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, walk through each level and know this is about the journey; there is no destination.  It takes time for a lasting transformation to happen.

 

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I embrace every level of the transformation.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 27 – “Transformation Is Growth”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, we are on this path to grow.  When we speak of transformation, we speak of being better and more of our authentic self, and that require growth.  Whenever you say yes to being better, there is always a time of “stirring up the pot,” or what is known as a “growth edge.”  Transformation can sometimes feel like an agitation of the soul, an uncomfortable space that we would like to run from.  We need to hold tight, stand firm, and allow the growth to happen. Transformation of the body can be one of the must uncomfortable experiences, but remember, physical challenges will lead to a breakthrough.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Transformation is about growth, being more than you ever thought you could be.  When we truly shift our conscious thoughts, we become stronger, more anchored in infinite possibilities.  Our willingness to grow and be more is the key.  Your yes is the key that opens the door of life.  Your consent to be more is your gateway to success.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, begin your transformation with a big, fat Yes.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I say a big, fat yes to growth.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 23 – “Remembering”

Today’s Body Connection:  Every workout is a time to remember who and who’s you are.  Our life is a dance of forgetting and remembering our power.  The physical practice is always a tool for remembering, if we set the intention.  When you do cardiovascular training, remember your capacity to breathe.  When you lift weights, remind yourself of the never-ending strength that lives within your soul.  When you take a Pilates class or train your core, remind yourself that a strong foundation is needed to build your life.  And our yoga practice is a reminder to be more flexible in our lives.  Our physical practice reminds us of the spiritual journey we have said yes to.  It is all connected!

Today’s Meditative Thought: Transformation is the journey of remembering who and who’s you are.  Today, remember that you are divine and fine.  There is only one thing to change, your consciousness and that is everything.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, transform the way you see yourself; be still and remember.  Mindfully move through your day with only empowering thoughts.  Whenever you think of your body-temple, bless it with love.  This might be a challenge at first but you can do it.  Set the intention to remember to be kind and love to your self.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to remember.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 15 – “Stand Up”

Today’s Body Connection:  It is time to draw the line: what do you stand for?  Becoming our authentic self is our greatest challenge but is also our greatest achievement.  When we decide our life’s path, we must be willing to live it.  This past summer, I got the opportunity to teach children’s fitness at my spiritual community, one the greatest honors of my life.  I got the opportunity to talk to the kids about being healthy and active everyday.  During a game of soccer, I had an Aha moment about the reason I was running around like a teenager.  I heard my inner voice say, “This is who I am.”  It was not referring to me playing like a child, but about being active for the rest of my life.  Today, draw the line and cross it.  Stand up and be counted for your healthy life.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Stand up and be counted for something.  You are not going through a transformation to be passive.  This change is to elevate the planet.  This work you have said yes to is not for naught.  It is to up-level the consciousness of the people around you.  As you are lifted, men, women, and children will follow.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, allow your health and fitness to shine so all people may see it.  Be lifted up to a new horizon.  Set the intention to stand for your life.  During your training, remind yourself that you’re doing this because you are worthy.  Before you make a decision, ask yourself, “Would my high self make this choice?”  Connect with your commitment and stay accountable with your higher vibration.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I stand for God as I up-level my consciousness.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 14 – “Love Yourself”

Today’s Body Connection:  The sole purpose for transformation is to know more love.  Our earth mission is to connect with the Divine.  Every practice, whether it is spiritual, mental, or physical, is designed for us to return to our natural state of being.  Somewhere along our journey we have forgotten the “active way of life.”  There has been a disconnection between why we eat and how we should feed the body.  We have lost our way and the true meaning of health and fitness. Self-love has been low on the priority list and last on the to do list.  Body, mind, and spirit transformation realign our way of being with our way of doing.  And this, my friends, is the return journey of self-love.

 

Today’s Meditative Thought: You must love yourself through every stage of the transformation.  The road gets bumpy sometimes, but hold on as your change is coming.  When you can’t find love for yourself, ask God to show you the love that you need to make it through.  Transformation requires Love, and Love is always the great alchemy.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, allow Love to be the “great alchemy” of your life.  Every time the phone rings, announce to yourself, “Love is Calling me and it’s time to Love myself.”

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I allow my transformation to happen.  I am empowered with self-love and all is well within my life.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 13 – “Becoming Your Authentic Self”

Today’s Body Connection:  Transforming the Body-Temple means becoming your authentic self.  Our birthright is to be full of light, living a healthy life, expressing wholeness, and vibrant.  We are created in the image of perfection; therefore we should live a life that reflects perfection. I’m not talking about the surface idea of perfection, the external appearance of how we look, act, or behave.  I am speaking of the divine presence of God that lives within our souls.  When we approach the physical practice for the sole purpose of expressing our spiritual perfection, we become our authentic self; we live the real life we are meant to live.

Today’s Meditative Thought: To become more of your authentic self requires a connection with God.  Cultivate your oneness consciousness with meditation.  It is in the stillness that we know we are one with Spirit.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, sit in the stillness until you know you are one with God and that everything will be okay.  Today, ask God to show you your authentic self and begin to live it.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I embrace God and I live my authentic life.  Amen
