DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 2 – “God Expressing Its Self ”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 2 – “God Expressing Its Self ”

The Body Connection:  Remember, the body-temple is the God in the flesh and deserves to be treated as such.  When we choose to exercise, we choose to play in the field of God.  When we begin to activate our internal strength in our physical practice, we allow the Universe to express itself fully.  It’s not only the mind and the spirit that requires a practice to grow; the body is in need of work for its edification, too.   The Universe wants to express it self in every way; allow each workout to be an expression of God inside of you.

Meditative Thought:  Our connection to this high vibration fuels every essence of our lives.  Know that the power that is within you is divine and full of grace.  Love is the answer to all things; we can do anything with the love of the Universe.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that you are God’s love expressing itself uniquely as you.  Every moment you can remind yourself that you are expressing the love of God.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that I am bathed in God’s love and I am blessed.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 30 “God’s Time”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 30 “God’s Time”

The Body Connection:  Our biggest lessons on this path of the body connection are simple:  1.  Fitness is a journey with no destination and no time limits.  It is a practice required for the rest of our existence on this side of life.    2.  We must release the goal of looking like something or someone to measure our health and fitness.  What we see in the magazine or how another appears to us is our own perception.  3. Love yourself through every step of the journey.  4. Do not put a time limit on your fitness.  When we use a time marker to drop a certain amount of pounds, we set ourselves up for failure.  During your journey to or back to fitness, recognize that you are in God’s perfect time and that in that space all things are happening exactly how they need to work.  Everything happens in God’s time, so stop looking for shortcuts.

Meditative Thought: Surrender to God’s time.  Sometimes we want our blessings when we want them.  But God’s time is infinite, so our blessings are happening right now.  In our human mind we have created ideas for what our blessings should look like and when they should happen.  Take God out of your personal box.  No matter what our goals, desires, or intentions are, we must release our personal timeline.  The Universe does not work on our terms.  God is an all-powerful, all-knowing life force that has it in control.  Once we recognize that God just is, without conditions or favorites, and is not handing out blessings faster to those who worship more, we will free up the divine flow to happen in our lives.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, free your mind to the infinite outpouring of God’s Love.  Meditate on the simple manta, “Everything is happing in divine perfect timing.”  Know that your transformation is happening at the pace it needs to happen.  Journey any thoughts or insights that might come up before, during, and after meditation.  It is important for you to keep a record of all your Ah-ha moments.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I free my mind with the love of God.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 29 “The Power of Two”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 29 “The Power of Two”

The Body Connection:  Have you ever heard the saying, “There is strength in numbers.”?  One of the greatest tools for getting fit is a workout partner.  Find someone that will help you on your journey.  I am not talking about a trainer, although we do serve a purpose and we are a body of knowledge.  I am talking about a friend that is on the same path as you.  Someone you can build a relationship with to share and compare your experience with.  Your workout buddy keeps you accountable and helps you to stay focused and not give up.  The power is in the companionship.  There is an energetic connection when two or more are gathered and it is fun to sweat side by side.

Meditative Thought: Have you ever wondered why missionaries travel in pairs?  Or why the God has said, “Where two or more are gathered, I am there in the midst?”  When we work together with one another for a common goal, powerful miracles take place.  Two are better than one in all things.  If one person falls, that person who has your back will pick you up.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to find a workout partner, someone you can trust and depend on.  When choosing a partner, be willing to be the buddy you are looking for.  Set the intention that the Universe will bring you the right person to share your journey with.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, awake and be free to be me.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 27 “Surrender to Absolute Power”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 27 “Surrender to Absolute Power”

The Body Connection:  When we are mindful of what we put into our bodies, we begin the process of surrendering to God.  Mindful eating accounts for 65% to 75% of health and fitness, and our journeys are fueled by what we eat.  What we consume will affect the way our body acts, moves, and feels. A simple rule of thumb is if you want to feel alive, eat living foods.  The nature of the Universe is perfect and absolute, so nature provides everything we need to survive.  Live food has the nutrients we need for healthy living.  Also, if we want to burn fat, we must burn calories.  Eating less and being active is the key.  Your eating is a spiritual experience if you allow it to be.  Eat with a purpose; mindfully nourish the body-temple and commune with your higher self.  Every morsel of living food comes from Source, designed to support you on your journey.

Meditative Thought: True power comes from surrendering to an absolute presence that is greater than our human incarnation. As you begin to grow spiritually, you will see that everything returns to God.  Every situation is an opportunity to remember that the answer always lies within you.  Connect with the Universal presence that is your essence. Allow the Universe to be the solution to all your challenges.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, make God bigger than your problems.  When you become overwhelmed with all the things that are required for your personal transformation, remind yourself that God is bigger than all of this and that you are supported.  Today, use affirmations to keep you on track.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am one with God, and I am blessed.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 21 “Fully Committed”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 21 “Fully Committed”

The Body Connection:  When we think of the main components of fitness, we must remember stretching.  A fully committed practice incorporates not just the part we like but every element: cardio, strength training, mindful eating, and stretching.  After working the body we must remember that stretching not only helps the healing, but it also allows our limbs to have a greater range of motion.  I call stretching the appetizer and the desert of fitness. A divine stretch should sandwich each workout.  Upon waking, a large glass of water and a morning stretch are a great way to start your day.  One of the greatest tools for stretching is Yoga, the physical preparation for meditation; but remember, you do not have to attend a yoga class to practice yoga.  Any time is a good time for a downward dog.  If you want a body-temple that moves with ease and grace, commit to increasing its flexibility.  Jump in fully and surrender to every aspect that is required to be fit; stretching is the key that can open the door to a new way of life.

Meditative Thought: Reverend Cheryl Ward once said to me, “You cannot jump into the river and get a little wet.”  We must understand that we can’t just play in the river of life a little.  Once we have said yes, we must fully commit to the journey.  When we have one foot in the door and one foot out, we create a life of confusion and frustration.  God is calling us to a place of full surrender.  Because our life is the life of Spirit, let go and let God be your life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, jump into the river and begin to swim with the stroke of devotion.  Fully commit to your practice, whether it be physical, mental, or spiritual.  Fully surrender and jump in with no hesitation.  Move with a full heart.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I jump into the ocean of devotion and I am wet with God’s love.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 19 “Self-Healing”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT:  Surrendering – Day 19 “Self-Healing”

The Body Connection:  Cardiovascular training is the physical practice of strengthening and healing the heart, the body’s most important muscle.  The heart is the only vital organ that we cannot live without if it is not moving.  Most of my clients come to me with little or no experience in cardio training so here are some suggestions for improving your cardiovascular health.

1.  Find an activity you like, such as walking, running, cycling, rollerblading, dancing or boot camp; it doesn’t matter which one you choose; just get the heart moving.  2.  Doing this activity for 20 to 30 minutes three times a week is a good start, with a goal of five days of cardio.  But a daily dose of activity is king.   3.  Every time you breathe in and breathe out say the mantra, “I inhale self-healing, I exhale wholeness.”  The intention to get your lungs full of oxygen and to pump the blood will burn calories and fat and strengthen the body-temple, and that is the ultimate self-healer.

Meditative Thought: Because we are one in God, we must be willing to take care of our self with love and self-healing.  We must learn to be a lover of our own mind, body, and soul.  But the truth is, God’s love is so much deeper than our human caretaking.  Everything we do to take care of our self has a deeper spiritual meaning to it; we participate in the divine plan that is our life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, go deeper with your self-care.  Recognize God in the blessings of taking care of your self.  A massage is fellowship with spirit.  A nice soothing bath is a baptism of our spirit.  A day off from the human grind of work is a day that we can play in the mind of God.  A walk or jog in the park, is a deep communion with the Universe and it is great cardio.  Today, be mindful of the activity you are participating in.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I surrender to the caretaking of my body-temple because I deserve it.  My mind, body, and spirit are fueled by love, and it is good.  I activate my self-healing.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 18 “The Greatest Lesson”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 18 “The Greatest Lesson”

The Body Connection:  Allow your fitness to be your greatest lesson.  The body will tell you everything you need to know.  If you are in good health, you feel amazing. And when you are experiencing challenges in the body-temple, it will let you know it.  We must remember that the body is always neutral, so don’t judge it.  Our body will only operate from our intention.  The most important thing we can remember is to not hold our bodies accountable for the decisions we have made.  The next great body lesson is to love yourself no matter what size you are.   Loving yourself unconditionally is the great lesson, so embrace it fully.

Meditative Thought: One of the greatest lessons in life is the surrender to the impersonal nature of God.  God simply is.  God does not play the favorites game.  The mind of God is always bestowing infinite blessings upon us all.  God does not reward or punish based on the way we act.  The absolute presence of God is just that: absolute.  There is no duality.  God does not show grace to some and not to others; we only need to open our heart and receive.  Our consciousness is the only thing that holds us back from the abundant flow of the Universe.  We must surrender to the fact that God is in the blessing business.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, be open to the lesson of self-love your body provides.  During your workout, repeat the mantra, “I love my self as I transform my self.”

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am open and receptive to the blessing of the Universe.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 15 “Commune With Your Higher Self”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT:  Surrendering – Day 15 “Commune With Your Higher Self”

The Body Connection:  The number one reason that transformation becomes an unpleasant experience is that it does not have a divine connection or purpose.  It doesn’t matter what form of exercise we do; if it does not have real meaning, it becomes a chore.  When working out, commune with your higher self.  A bicep curl or a lunge is much more effective when done for a deeper reason than to fit into your skinny jeans.  Yes, looking good is a motivation, but there has to be more.  As we begin to know our true inner spirit, our reasoning for taking care of our body becomes greater than the desire for a smaller dress size; it’s because we understand who and what we are and that we are worth all of the hard work.

Meditative Thought: We go to God to commune with God; nothing else.  When we surrender to a daily practice of deep fellowship with Spirit, our life has meaning.  Communion with God is the greatest spiritual tool we can incorporate within our lives.  Everything we do has a divine purpose; we only need to fellowship with the Universe to know it.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, bless your journey with a deep fellowship.  During your exercise recovery time, remind yourself that you do this because of who you are.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I bless my journey with a deep fellowship in the Spirit.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 14 “Surrender to Seeing Love”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT:  Surrendering – Day 14 “Surrender to Seeing Love”

The Body Connection:  The daily physical practice of exercise can be challenging until we surrender to love. Find an exercise regimen that speaks to you.  Take the time to explore the different opportunities to strengthen your body-temple.  There are so many options, like yoga, dancing, weight training, Pilates, walking, and/or running, but you have to find one you like.   When your physical practice becomes a chore, there is a higher probability that you won’t stick to it.  You can’t win if you are not in.  It is the energy of love that will keep you active and committed.

Meditative Thought: God only knows Love; therefore all blessings come from a place of Love.  Each situation is a reminder of Love or an invitation to surrender to Love.  Focus on finding the highest consciousness in your exercise time.  If it’s a challenge, ask the Universe to make itself known to you.  The Love is present everywhere; we just need to open our eyes.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to the practice of seeing Love.  Set the intention to find the Divine in the physical.  Every time you are aware of Love, make a record of it in your journal.  When life throws you a loop, refer to your list.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I surrender my life to Love.  I am open and available to seeing the Universal flow as I transform my life.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 13 “Surrender to the Mind of God”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT:  Surrendering – Day 13 “Surrender to the Mind of God”

The Body Connection:  Our body is the human incarnation of the mind of God and it requires a physical practice.  Its condition is based on the commitment to taking care of it.  Daily exercise, mindful eating, and an affirmative mind are the keys to holistic transformation.  Every day is a great day to start; just commit and set the intention to be mindful of your physical incarnation of the Divine.

Meditative Thought: There are times we cannot experience the goodness of life.  Our human condition is so overwhelming and we think that nothing will change. We must surrender to the mind of God.  Wholeness is a consciousness we can only see with the eyes of God. As we physically transform our body, we must align our thinking with the Universe.  We must build a consciousness that allows us to receive our blessings.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, surrender to the work that builds a consciousness to receive kindness and compassion.  Along with the physical practice of exercise and mindful eating, prayer and meditation is as important for the transformation.  Before you start your daily physical routine, take the time to be still, say a prayer, and anchor your awareness in the Divine.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, the power of God is in?? my life.  I am blessed and highly favored.  My body is the expression of the Universe and wholeness is the order of the day.  Amen
