This Week’s Meditative Thought – The Illuminated Life

Illuminating Light BulbThis month we’ll focus on “Celebrating Light” and we’ll begin with “The Illuminated Life” as this Week’s Meditative Thought

Living an illuminated life is a journey surrendered to the revealing of God. Every moment, every breath is dedicated to seeing the unfolding of the Divine Mind, not only in our lives, but also in every person, place, or situation that we come in contact with. Once you are aware that we live, move, and have our being in God, this is the beginning of the illuminated life. God is everywhere present, always active, knows all divine things, and is all-powerful, and this is the consciousness of the illuminated life.

Your Action Plan: Today and for the remaining week, live your life with the awareness of God in your life. Live the illuminated life every breath you take. Take a moment and recognize the power that live within you. Awareness is key so today stay awake.

Friday Affirmation and Body Connection – Faith, Hope, Prayer and Gratitude

Practice

This week’s Body Connection we continue our focus on this month’s theme of “Faith, Hope, Prayer and Gratitude” via “Practice“. We have all heard the saying, “practice makes perfect.” Now let’s change it around: “perfect makes practice.” What I mean by that is when we understand our divine perfection we free ourselves to do the practice required to sustain that awareness. For the next 30 days commit to a physical practice.

When I move my body I can feel the activation of the spirit of hope. It’s what gives me that energy in class and one that I love to share. Every time we say yes to fitness, everything else becomes a reflection of the practice. Walk, run, dance, weight train, for God’s sake shake it! LOL  It doesn’t matter; get moving and watch your life unfold to greatness.

Today’s Affirmation: Just for this moment…just for this breath, in the mind of God I have no problems or issues. God is bigger than any worries I could have. And so it is. Amen

Have a terrific and blessed weekend!

Monday Meditative Thought – Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude

Creating a Practice

This month we’ll focus on Faith, Hope Prayer and Gratitude as our theme with “Practice” being the key this week. Most researchers agree that to do something for 30 days in a routine can become part of your consciousness. I invite you this month to explore the practices that empower your life, experiencing prayer, meditation, affirmations, and a commitment to physical activity. It doesn’t matter what you believe; just know that there is one universal force that expresses itself in so many ways. For the next 30 days focus on the space we practice from, not who we practice to. Make a commitment to pray for your family and friends, and be grateful for the people in your life.

This week’s action plan. Throughout the week, take take all your cares and worries to prayer. Write a letter to God. Tell the Universe about what ails you. Now imagine a God bigger than your problems.

Monday Meditative Thought – Renew the Mind

Meditating on the Power of Renewal.

True transformation is shifting the way we think and to do that we renew our consciousness with the practice of meditation, affirmation, and prayer. It is our thoughts that get in the way of truly knowing our oneness with the divine. This week we continue building on this theme of transformation from download direction and know better and look to renewing the mind. “And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” — Romans 12:2

Your “Renew The Mind” Action Plan: Throughout the week aim in meditation is to be still and quiet in your thoughts so that you may hear God. Begin to renew your mind within the “upper room” of your soul. This is an active practice of connecting what you are doing with what you are thinking and feeling.

Monday Meditative Thought – Download Directions of the Devine

This week’s meditation thought will focus on what I like to call the triple “D’s” or the “Download Directions of the Devine” Much like the multitude of gadgets that aim to keep us focused, we should also tune ourselves for insight and revelations to help us focus our shift and transform our lives. This Download Directions of the Devine is attained via a practice of prayer, meditation, and sacred study.  Take a minute, two, five or what you can spare and start. It is through these Aha moments that give us the opportunities to be present and awake and ask God for the insights you need to change your life.

This week’s Action Plan: All this weeks look for divine guidance for transformation or triple D’s. Taking those moments you set aside and begin contemplating your next steps via prayer, meditation and sacred study, and begin to outline the goal plus obstacles needed to overcome that which you are seeking.

Peace and blessings,

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 13 “Oneness with God”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 13 “Oneness with God”

Today’s Body Connection:  Every fitness training session brings us closer to God.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Setting the intention to manifest the life we want begins with knowing your connection with the universal power.  A daily practice of anchoring our oneness with God is the only true action required for manifestation.  Because God is the source of our life, it is that awareness that empowers our desires.  There are three principles for manifestation: The first truth of manifestation is the understanding of the incorporeal essence of God that governs the corporeal nature of man.   Whatever it is that we wish to manifest for our life, God is the source.  The second truth is what we want for our life we must be willing to become.  If we want love, we must be willing to become love.  If we want abundance, we must become an opening for prosperity.  God can only do for us that which we will allow God to do through us.  The third spiritual principle for manifestation is the awareness that we are not here to get anything; we are here to release the presence of God that lives within us.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, every hour on the hour speak a simple mantra that reminds you that you are one with God.  Create an affirmation that anchors your awareness that God lives within you.  It should be easy to remember and filled with passion, e.g., “God is, I am,” or “My Life is the life of God.”  For the next 30 days build a consciousness with statements of truth.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am one with God and life is good.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 10 “Recognizing Eternity”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 10 “Recognizing Eternity”

Today’s Body Connection:   Set the intention to know eternal life through the practice.  Did you know that you could add ten to 20 years to your life by working out?  The physical practice is the fountain of youth and it’s time to tap it. Every time you train, it is accumulative.  Restoration of the body requires a daily practice that takes time before you see the payoff, but it is happening.  One of the first things that people will notice is that you look younger.  You will hear compliments like, “Did you have work done?” or “There’s something different about you.  You look younger.”  Truth is, you are younger in spirit and, yes, you have had work done: inner work.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The deepest awareness that we can have is our own eternity.  Once we realize that we are spiritual beings, having a human incarnation, that our spirit is never born and will never die, life becomes meaningful.  In 2012, I experienced a great deal of what appeared to be loss.  My sister Beth, two aunts, several close family friends, and a student of mine all made their transition into “life after life.”  My “human incarnation” experienced grief and pain, and some days I felt as if life did not have a purpose.  It wasn’t until I consciously began to do spiritual work around life eternal did my perception shift.  Daily I prayed and meditated on life never-ending.  I asked the Universe to show Eternity to me.  Every time I did, I felt the presence of my loved ones around me.  I felt comfort and a sense of peace.  For me, this is evidence of eternity.

Another lesson that I learned through this experience is that I do not have to wait until someone leaves this side of existence to anchor an eternity consciousness.  A daily practice builds spiritual consciousness so that I am prepared when the turbulent waves of the sea of life hit.

We are all created from God; therefore we are everlasting.  Set the intention to know your infinite self.  It is the spiritual practice that allows us to tap into the open space of Divine Eternity.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, ask to know eternity.  Close your eyes and breathe in.  Contemplate life eternal through your daily meditation.  Be still and know your eternity.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I live the eternal life of God with high intentions.  My life is the blessing that empowers the world and all is well.  And so it is.  Amen.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 9 “Your Divine Energy”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 9 “Your Divine Energy”

Today’s Body Connection:  What is your source of energy?  What energizes your practice?  The divine fuels your workouts and it keeps you from quitting.  When you want to give up, ask your higher self to boost your workouts.  Set the intention to power your training with the force of God.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Set the intention to connect with your divine energy.  The pathway of roses or the journey to your higher self is the purpose of our existence.  We have heard it over and over again: “To thy own self be true” or “You are the author of your own life.”  We can only be authentic by remembering who and what we are.  That is always the first step toward our greatness.  These great Avatars invite us to remember our divine energy.  I believe this can only be achieved through the stillness.  Your divine energy is the source of you, and it is what drives you into action.  Whenever I teach yoga, I remind the class and myself that this physical activity is a tool to remember our true spirit.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today. remember your divine energy.  Set the intention to go within to connect with Source, so that you can be the author of your existence.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the author of my life.  With the Divine, I co-create a magnanimous existence.  And Life is good.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 7 “Knowing Your Perfection”

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Setting Intentions – Day 7 “Knowing Your Perfection”

Today’s Body Connection: Your goal is always to know your perfection.  Choose the workouts that awaken your awareness of your excellence. If running activates empowerment, run.  If dancing generates joy, than dance.  If yoga is the practice that lets you know that you are divine, this year do more yoga.  Perfection is who we are, not what we do.  To know your divine self, you must go within, do a little self-exploration. To truly know who you are, be willing to take the journey.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Perfection is not what we do; perfection is what we are.  We must constantly remind ourselves that we are more than heartache, lack, limitation, disease, doubt, or fear that we may experience during this human incarnation.  We are divine beings.  We must use our third eye, our spiritual eye, to see beyond our faults, character defects, the ego mind, and other distractions.  There are times in our lives that we cannot recognize the presence of God and need to ask for help.  It could be help from a practitioner, a spiritual counselor, friends, or God itself.   But the only way to truly know God is in the stillness of our hearts.  We must take the take the time to be still and know that God is our life; therefore perfection is what we are.  It is in the stillness, the holy space of our consciousness, where we can experience the true nature of God. We must always set the intention to know more God.  We must set the intention to grow in our spiritual journey.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set the intention to see with your third eye.  Set the intention to expand your consciousness though prayer and meditation.  During your day, ask the Universe to reveal itself.  There may be time when you just stop and say a prayer, “God show yourself,” then expect God to show up.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my mind, body, and spirit is the life of God.  I am an on-purpose being on a mission to know God.  As I bless myself, I bless the planet.  Amen.
