DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 19 “Fellowship Is Our Natural State of Being”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 19 “Fellowship Is Our Natural State of Being”

Meditative Thought: We are created to be in fellowship, but we must create a practice of connecting with God and one another.  The ego wants to separate and protect us.  It will invite us to isolate ourselves for fear of being rejected.  When we become willing to move into true fellowship, the ego will tell us that it’s too good to be true, that the other person will hurt us, or that we don’t deserve happiness.  This is the game of the ego; this is the ego’s job.  It wants to distract us from transformation.  We must stand strong in our divine oneness and remember the truth: we are here to reconnect with God, and God is standing right in front of us.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, be aware of when the ego is trying to protect and separate.  Bless the little self with Love and move past the mediocrity.  Step into your greatness and be true to your natural state of fellowship.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my authentic life is shot from the grace of God.  And so I let it be.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 18 “Fellowship Embracing Oneness”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 18 “Fellowship Embracing Oneness”

Meditative Thought: When we choose to embrace fellowship, we say yes to the deepest practice that we can share with someone.  Anchored in our oneness consciousness, we understand that there is no separation from one another.  The fellowship practice brings us to a space of knowing that the other person is a reflection of the Divine; therefore they are we, there is only one.   True fellowship will awaken a blessing for the other person.  We can only want for them what we want for our self; we can only want for our self what we want for others.  When we look into the eyes of someone we see God and we also see our reflection looking back at us.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, bless everyone you see.  Think about what it is you want in your life and wish the same for the ones you meet.  Whether or not you know them, it does not make a difference; you are seeing yourself.  Be aware of how you feel each time; be present to the energy that comes up for you.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, God is my life and it is working through me.  I allow it to be.  Amen.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 17 “The Love Fellowship”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 17 “The Love Fellowship”

Meditative Thought: To create a fellowship we must be willing to fall in love; we must be willing to see the true nature of a person.  We must see with the third eye, the spiritual eye, so that everything but Love falls away.  The Love fellowship is the connection that gives meaning to our relationships.  It is the only thing that matters.  This type of fellowship is unconditional.  Any relationship with conditions will fail us and creates resentment.  Love never fails.  Love never disappoints.  Find the Love Fellowship in all your relationships.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, set the intention to see with your third eye.  Look beyond the shell and see what is real.  When you look, really see; see the presence of God.  Ask Spirit to make itself known and evident in every situation.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is divinely fulfilled in God.  Blessing is my only option.  And so it is.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 16 “What Is Fellowship?”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 16 “What Is Fellowship?”

Meditative Thought: Fellowship is a deep, intimate relationship with God that can only be experienced at a spiritual level.  When we connect with someone, the energy we feel is the Universe; that is the only thing we are connecting to.  When we choose to fellowship with God or someone else, the power is in our oneness consciousness.  It is the flow of the Divine Light that is felt at the heart space.

Fellowship is a relationship that goes far beyond the causal “How are you doing?”   It is a deep intimacy that requires time; it requires being present, it requires a willingness to want to know someone or something.  When we make a commitment to fellowship, be willing to put in the attention it requires.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, ask yourself, “What is holding me back from fellowship?”  Be willing to hear an honest answer.  Be willing to know the truth.  Take time to journal what comes up.  Release the fear and be willing to step into intimacy with Spirit.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I embrace my unity with the Love consciousness.  I live t my greatest potential and life is good.  Amen.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 15 “Study As a Way of Life”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 15 “Study As a Way of Life”

Meditative Thought: For the last six years I have been in some type of a spiritual class or studying the writings of a great avatar, and I have found it to be the jewel of my practice.  Every time I sit in the presence of students with the same goal in mind, greatness happens.  I am amazed at the insight I received from fellow students or the students of the classes I facilitate.

Once we have finished a course or a book, we are not done.  There is always more to know.  When we embrace the path of the light, the knowledge is endless; there is always more to learn.  What I love about sacred study is the more I know, the more I realize I don’t know.  I love going back to what is known as the “Beginner’s Mind.”  The “Beginner’s Mind” allows us to be humble enough to learn.  Our lessons are infinite, without ceasing, if we are open to it.  We are on a journey of enlightenment with no destination.  As Earnest Holmes said, “There is no higher level of learning in God, only learning.”  This way of life, to keep evolving, requires a commitment and a willingness to continue to evolve.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, find your spiritual leader that speaks to you.  Listen, take notes, and allow their word, writings, and/or messages take hold of you.  Contemplate and cultivate what is resonating in your soul.  Then ask yourself, “What does this mean for me?”  Allow your inner guides to tell you what you need to know.  Every messenger presents the message in his or her own way.  When you hear something that says yes, go with it and leave the rest for another time.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I return to the beginner’s mind.  My life is open and I am willing to learn.  Amen

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 14 “Study to Know Thyself”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 14 “Study to Know Thyself”

Meditative Thought: Our biggest journey is to know thyself.  This quest for enlightenment of who we are and why we are here is the eternal impulse that lies within our spiritual DNA.  This is a genetic code that when once activated, it takes over.  Once we have had a taste of the journey, it wont let us go.  No mater how long we find ourselves away from the study, there is an awakened energy that constantly brings us back to the study.  We have awakened the sleeping giant and there is nothing we can do about it but feed it.  We can take breaks, turn to mindless TV, listen to low-level ‘vibrational’ music, it never fulfills us; we are always looking for more.  There is a need to know more of who we are.  We must continue to study to know thyself.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, know thyself.  Set the intention to go within and activate your divine genetic code of awareness.  Every hour on the hour remind yourself that you are more than any human situation; you are a divine being on a journey of reconnection.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my divine vibrational frequency is on and I attract only goodness.  Amen.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 13 “Study to Expand Consciousness”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 13 “Study to Expand Consciousness”

Meditative Thought: Deep within our spirit is the knowledge of God, a divine intelligence that we have had all of our existences, an eternal fire that can never be put out.   When we embrace the practice of sacred study, there is an on switch that activates our awareness.  Has there ever been a time that you have read something and the ‘soul light bulb’ has turned on?  This is called the “Ah-Hah Moment.”  What has truly happened is an expansion of consciousness has taken place. This knowledge has always been within you; you just were not aware.

Whenever these moments take place, it feels so amazing.  It’s as if we have always known this little nugget, but we have just been reminded of it. These are instant spiritual growth jumps, an expansion of your awareness of who and what you are, and whom you are connecting to.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, acknowledge every “Ah-Hah Moment.”  Write them in a journal; keep track of your expansion.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is filled with Ah-Hah moments and I am blessed.  Amen.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 12 “Embracing Sacred Study”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 12 “Embracing Sacred Study”

Meditative Thought: Every moment we spend in the practice of sacred study expands our spiritual consciousness.  It is like a bank account; it is accumulative.  When there is an embrace of spiritual academia, there is always a growth that takes place.  Each word, each sentence, each phase activates your personal intention to know more.  When we study, there is an activation of divine knowledge within our souls that has always been there; we are now simply turning it on.

We must fully surrender to the call of our spirit; it wants to know more God.  Sacred study feeds the hunger.  When we find ourselves in a class or a spiritual community, feeding our spiritual souls, we become a beacon for goodness.  We begin to radiate this knowledge that we are taking in.  We illuminate the darkness as our consciousness grows.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, take the time to open your spiritual bank account.  Be aware that everything counts.  Every time you are in practice make a mental deposit into the Bank of Consciousness.  Create an affirmation that will anchor your commitment for growth.  You can simply remind yourself by saying, “I am making a deposit into my divine account.”

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I fill my spiritual bank account with my awareness.  My life is blessed with the knowledge of God.  And so it is.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 11 “What Is Sacred Study?”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 11 “What Is Sacred Study?”

Meditative Thought: Sacred study is the practice of increasing your knowledge of the Divine.  The oldest form of study is the scripture.  Most of us are familiar with the Bible, the Koran, and the Toa as holy writings, and we have spent time increasing our knowledge about God through these texts.  But these are not the only writing that expands our awareness of God.  New spiritual writings have been downloaded in the last century like A Course in Miracles by Helen Schucman, The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes, A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, Spiritual Liberation by Michael Bernard Beckwith, and anything by my favorite teacher, Joel S. Goldsmith.

The truth is, anything can be a sacred.  If we look for the God, we shall see God.  When we choose the text that we are called to study, master that book.  Stay with it for an extended period of time.  Each master teacher, avatar, spiritual leader is basically saying the same thing, but the presentation is of their own style.  It doesn’t matter who or what you choose; just study.  Take the time to read and know more about the journey you have said yes to. There is nothing like being in a class filled with like-minded people studying great transcendent masters and their amazing writings.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, commit to a practice of sacred study.  Find a book, a class, or a group of like-minded people who will help you to expand your consciousness.  Set the intention to find the right form of study for you and the Universe will show up to support you.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my consciousness is elevated with my intentions.  And so it is.  Amen.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS: 31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 10 “Overcoming the Obstacles During Meditation”

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGETS:  31 Days of Embracing the Practice – Day 10 “Overcoming the Obstacles During Meditation”

Meditative Thought: Whenever we set the intention to embrace a new practice, the ego steps in to protect us.  It does not like change.  It only wants us to remain the same.  The ego is in fear that change might diminish its role.  It moves into action, the reasons why the ego exists: to attack, protect, and defend.  Because transformation is about shifting, and meditation is always the key to change, the ego will fight tooth and nail so it can remain as is.

When we sit down to meditate, the ego will begin to talk to us.  It wants to make itself known to us.  The mind and the ego begin to work together.  At the moment when we are not thinking and we being to feel a second of peace, the ego will remind us of something that we have not done, like walk the dog, turn off the stove, or finish that work project.  We will begin to think of our laundry or shopping list, and all the while our intention is just to stop thinking for a moment.

When we start to think during mediation, be aware of it.  Bless the chatter and embrace it.  Do not try to fight it; what you resist will persist. Let the ego know that you hear it and you will deal with it later and continue to breathe.  Your practice will get better.  Remember, there is no such thing as a bad meditation.

Your Spiritual Assignment:  Today, be aware of when the ego is restless.  Witness what happens when you sit down for a session of meditation.  Do not judge; just be present. When the ego arises, speak gently to it and tell it you know it is there, then return to your session.  Practice your witness consciousness whenever you are challenged and notice a shift within your practice.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is the life of abundant blessings.  Amen.
