DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 4 – “Love What We Do”

Today’s Body Connection:  Transformation of the body must come from a place of love.  When we choose to change physically, the decision must be aligned with a higher vibration.  Sometimes our motivation is fear-based.  We might have a health scare, or a family member might interrupt our life patterns with an intervention.  The wake up call serve a purpose, but somewhere down the road there needs to be a shift in our intention.  There must be a place within us that is energized with self-love.  Starting a physical practice can be the hardest thing we ever do, but we know it can also be the most rewarding.  Once we tap into that Love space, we will begin to love the workout.

Today’s Meditative Thought: “We must pray to Love what we do.” — Walter Russell

There comes a time in our life that we must get up and move; change is required for the job, relationship, or living situation.  But sometimes we do not have the luxury to leave the situation we are in.   Instead of praying for a change, pray to love what you are doing and where you have been called to be.  Allow God to reveal the love that you cannot see at the present moment.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, pray to see the miracles.  Ask your higher self to show you what you are not seeing.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I am the love light in my workplace, and I set myself free to be the vision for all to see.  And so it is. Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 28 – “Be Willing”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, it is your willingness that sets your transformation into action.  Whenever you train your body, there must be a willingness to be stronger.  Give yourself permission to be healthy and whole.  Use your go-ahead to catapult yourself into the transformation.  Today, as you work out, say your manta, “I give myself permission to be whole.”  Be willing to eat the best foods that support your life of fitness.  When you allow yourself to be fit and healthy the Universe will support you to the fullest. Your yes affirms who and what you are, so, today, say yes.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Remember, allowing the energy of transformation is always stronger than our intentions. When we give ourselves the permission to be okay, we will be.  Not until we say yes will the shift become real.  Open your mind and free your thoughts; you have the authority to be the highest expression of the Universe.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember to be willing.  It is our willingness that is the key that unlocks the door of transformation. Your mantra for today is, “I give myself permission to be okay.”  Try it and than journal about it.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to be willing to transform.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, everything you do is to enhance your life.  Your transformation is for the purpose of “having life and life more abundantly.”  When a shift happens on the outside, it is in direct relationship to the shift that is happening on the inside. There is a vibration and a light that you will shine.  You will radiate Joy and, in turn, you will receive more Joy.  It is the Law of Radiance; what you radiate you will receive back.  Your workout will allow you to activate the best in your life.  When you feel strong and healthy you inspire the people around you. Let your transformation shine; not only will people notice the physical change, they will see the light return to your eyes.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  It’s up to you to bring your own Joy.  Don’t wait for someone else to bring it; you could be waiting a long time.  Joy is what you are, so activate it.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that the only thing that is missing in your relationship is what you aren’t bringing. Your relationship is a reflection of your inner awareness.  What you see as missing, is your invitation.  If you see a lack of love, be more loving.  If joy is what you think is missing, be more joyful. Bring the peace where you see chaos.  It is up to you.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to bring everything that is needed in all my relationships.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Have you ever said to yourself, “I will do that when I get healthier” or “I will take that dance class when I lose 15 pounds” ? Remember, the road to failure is paved with good intentions.  One of the greatest challenges for transformation is procrastination.  You can’t circle “one day” on the calendar.  What are you waiting for?  Health and fitness is already within you.  Our birthright is to live a life that is vigorous and full of vitality.  You have the power within you to do everything you set your mind to; it’s time to move your feet.  Today, the waiting game stops.  Understand that everything you are reaching for is already inside you; every goal and intention can only be fulfilled by understanding that you already have everything you need.  You and your connection to God is the answer.  Train as if you are already at your ideal body weight.  Dance as if you have already dropped 15 pounds.  Move with the mindset, “It is already done.”

Today’s Meditative Thought:  When God created you; God poured every divine quality into you, leaving nothing out.  You are a masterpiece, God’s divine idea. The Universe loves you so much that it created you, empowered you, and set you free to be you.  Allow God to show up as your perfect self.  Stop apologizing for being who you are.  Celebrate your uniqueness; only you can do you, so do it big.  Remember, everything you need is already in you.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that everything is within you.  You are missing nothing.  Turn within to find your way.  Spend time in meditation to allow your divine self to show up as you.  Today is the day you stop waiting and begin doing everything that is on your “One Day” list.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 9 – “Downloads From God”

Today’s Body Connection:  Have you asked God for an insight on how to train your body-temple?  We have the capability to download all the information we need to create a successful physical practice. Remember, you are connected to an all-powerful energy that knows all things, and it knows what you need.  We have so many choices for the physical practice; we just need to be mindful.  We ask the Universe for direction and guidance on most things, so why not download your physical activity?  Remember, every day is different, so you can have a new physical practice every day.  Maybe Monday is a walking day and Tuesday is a dance class day.  Maybe Wednesday you get the download to go swimming and Thursday could be weight-training day.  We live in a universe filled with infinite possibilities and that include your workouts.

 

Today’s Meditative Thought:  There is a reason why you downloaded the vision.  Now, what are you going to do with it?  Will you let the vision sit in the back of your head and fade away, or will you step out with faith and see it come to life?  “Anything you can envision, you can make happen with intention and a strong game plan.”  Time to put into action your divine download.  Believe that it can be done with the power of the Universe that lives within you.

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that every idea downloaded from the mind of God has meaning.  Write them down so you don’t forget.  Start your journal of Divine Ideas. On the page, write out your action plan.  There is something you can do every day to bring your vision to light.  Begin with something simple, like prayer, meditation, or making a phone call to someone who is already doing the work.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that I am the divine idea of God.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 7- “Joy of the Universe”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, when we connect with our body we connect with the Joy of the Universe.  There is nothing more enjoyable than feeling healthy.  There is nothing in the world that can take away the elation that we experience when energized by fitness.  We try using shopping, sex, alcohol, and drugs to achieve the experience of feeling wholeness, but the truth is, it is an inside job that can only be achieved by the practice.  As you dive into your workouts, allow your energy and your vibration to fill that place that appears empty.  Connect with the Joy of working out.  Find the space of gratitude; connect with your inner being.

Meditative Thought:  Joy is an energy that can overcome any disappointment.  “The Joy of the lord is my strength” is a scripture of hope.  You can endure anything just by looking for the Joy.  If you are having trouble activating it, ask God to show you the Joy, have faith, and just hold on.   “Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning.”

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that Joy is not based on circumstance; it is an absolute divine quality that is always available in any situation.  As you train you body temple, find one thing that works in your life.  Connect with the feeling of joy and gratitude than remove that thing and just be in the Joy energy.  For the rest of your day, mindfully activate Joy everywhere you go.

 

 

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to hold on, let go, and let God.  I am Joy expressing itself.  Amen

The Body Connection:  Remember, when you exercise, what is your mindset?  Do you find your workouts challenging, hard to enjoy and tedious or are they fun, enjoyable, and filled with insights?  I invite you to see each training session as a time for mental and spiritual growth.  Every workout is a lesson of your personal strength and power.  When you finish your session, celebrate the achievement.  Your completion is a testament to how amazing you truly are.   Every time you finish another mile, or the last repetition in the set, or the final crunch, that is the perfect time to let out a big, fat yes.  Today, you have accomplished your intention to be better, stronger, and more of you. And that is one of the greatest lesson that we can ever learn.

Meditative Thought:  These lessons we have said yes to allow us to be more and to share more of God.  Each challenge is the invitation to surrender to the Divine that lives within us.  Instead of asking God why, we should say, “bring it on.”  After the fire, we will emerge as Gold.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember that life is a series of opportunities to awaken and activate our true, authentic selves.  When you are faced with a challenge, be grateful and say thanks for the opportunity to grow.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember to awaken and to live to my highest potential.  I embrace the lessons of life and I stand strong and in my spiritual authority. Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 28 “Surrender to Challenges”

The Body Connection:  Working out is a challenge that is required to achieve the goal of fitness.  But it can be enjoyed if we surrender to it.  As long as we fight the process we will always see the challenge as nothing else but work.  One way to surrender is to change the “have to” to “get to.”  We get to play to create a healthy vehicle to do God’s work.  We get to honor our sacred commitment to be the best we can be.  The truth is that every pushup, squat, lunge, mile run or walked is the physical practice of getting better, faster, stronger and more powerful.  During the workout you might feel weak, but have faith: a strengthening of the mind, body, and spirit is taking place.  It the process of breaking down that will lead to your breakthrough.

Meditative Thought: Mentally and spiritually, we need to hit bottom, stop digging, and surrender to the fight before our transformation can happen.  It is the raw feeling of defeat that brings us to a place of surrender.  Sometimes it takes a spiritual beat down, a divine tenderizing of the soul, to prepare us for transformation.  It is when we are most vulnerable that can we hear the voice of God.  Until we have nothing else to fight with, a true transformation cannot happen. We must truly see the need for a shift to happen to allow it to happen.  What appears to be our greatest challenge becomes our greatest invitation to change.  Surrender to the challenges in your life; your breakdown will lead to a breakthrough.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, bless the mess.  Choose to see God in the midst of all your challenges.  Journal and list everything that you think is a messy situation in your life, and then ask the Universe, “Where is there a need for change here?”  Journal your answer and be willing to take action.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I bless the mess.  My challenges are divine and blessed with my intentions to be great.  My eyes are open and I see God.  Amen

The Body Connection:  While transforming your body-temple, one of the most important elements is rest and relaxation.  Our body-temples can only get stronger during times of rest.  When we are in the process of a physical and spiritual transformation, growth can only happen after the work is done and inner peace is achieved.  There must be a relaxed, serene spirit, a surrendering of the soul, for the shift to happen.  Become the work that you have done; embody the definition of fitness; this is the yin-yang experience.  There must be a perfect balance doing/becoming.  Relax into the transformation, breathe into the growth, and resonate with the work that you have done.

Meditative Thought: The nature of God is so perfect we do not need to make “it” happen or improve upon it; we only need to allow it to happen.  Relax and see the wondrous spirit of the Universe unfold.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, release the work of trying to make “it” happen; allow God to happen as your life.  During your meditation or your physical workout, repeat the mantra, “God has this; I only need to allow it to happen.”

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the divine presence of God; therefore I allow God to happen as my life.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Surrendering – Day 21 “Fully Committed”

The Body Connection:  When we think of the main components of fitness, we must remember stretching.  A fully committed practice incorporates not just the part we like but every element: cardio, strength training, mindful eating, and stretching.  After working the body we must remember that stretching not only helps the healing, but it also allows our limbs to have a greater range of motion.  I call stretching the appetizer and the desert of fitness. A divine stretch should sandwich each workout.  Upon waking, a large glass of water and a morning stretch are a great way to start your day.  One of the greatest tools for stretching is Yoga, the physical preparation for meditation; but remember, you do not have to attend a yoga class to practice yoga.  Any time is a good time for a downward dog.  If you want a body-temple that moves with ease and grace, commit to increasing its flexibility.  Jump in fully and surrender to every aspect that is required to be fit; stretching is the key that can open the door to a new way of life.

Meditative Thought: Reverend Cheryl Ward once said to me, “You cannot jump into the river and get a little wet.”  We must understand that we can’t just play in the river of life a little.  Once we have said yes, we must fully commit to the journey.  When we have one foot in the door and one foot out, we create a life of confusion and frustration.  God is calling us to a place of full surrender.  Because our life is the life of Spirit, let go and let God be your life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, jump into the river and begin to swim with the stroke of devotion.  Fully commit to your practice, whether it be physical, mental, or spiritual.  Fully surrender and jump in with no hesitation.  Move with a full heart.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I jump into the ocean of devotion and I am wet with God’s love.  And so it is.  Amen
