This past week we focused on a lyric from one of my favorite Rickie Byars and Rev Michael Beckwith songs, “I Release and I Let Go”. Today we’ll focus on affirming the power of releasing. So begin by finding a space and affirm that just for this moment…just for this breath, begin releasing everything that blocks you from loving yourself. Focus and repeat that you are worthy of true love, because love is what you are. You are a strong pillar of Joy, rooted in a foundation of Grace. And so it is. Amen

Your Spiritual Assignment this weekend: Work to actively release and turn everything over to God. When you find yourself wanting to control a situation, consciously give it to your higher self.

DAILY SPIRITUAL NUGGET: 31 Days of Surrendering to God – Day 4 “Don’t Fight God”

Meditative Thought: Surrender does not mean to give up. Surrender is the relinquishing of the battle. When we decide not to fight God, our life will be full of ease and grace. Sometimes we know what we need to do; the Universe has given us guidance, but as my mother used to say, “You’re just hard-headed.” The power of God flows with ease; it is our stubbornness that blocks the flow. Trust your spiritual connection; tap into your spiritual authority. You will know when god is speaking to you. There is an overwhelming feeling of peace and serenity. When we fight God, there is only frustration, worry, and fear. Trust your inner guide; it only wants the best for you.

Today’s Spiritual Assignment: Today, relinquish the fight. When you know there is something that God has directed you to do, don’t wait to move on it. When you are sure, step out on faith, relax, and surrender. It’s all good.

Affirmation: Just for this moment…just for this breath, my life is the life of God and I move with ease and grace. Amen
