DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 31 Days of Celebrating Light – Day 3 “What Is Light?”

Today’s Body Connection:  No more excuses.  What are you waiting for?  There will always be a reason not to begin your physical practice.  The most common excuse that people give for not working out is a lack of time.  Time is all we have; it’s the management of it that is the problem.  “When I feel better I will start to work out.”  The problem with that excuse is the fact that it is in the future, not the present.  If you stand in that delusion, you will never be strong enough.  Take a minute to circle “one day” on the calendar; you can’t.  It’s time to stop making excuses and get moving.  Our biggest fear is not failure; it’s success.  If we begin to live a better life, we will have to do better.  If we transform our lives, we have no more excuses for not living life to the fullest.  The time is today.  Allow your inner light to shine.  No more excuses.

 

Today’s Meditative Thought:  When celebrating the Light, we must ask ourselves what is Light? In my own experience and understanding, the Light is God, the One Power, the One Mind, the One Presence that I call Love.  The Light is everything, everywhere active, and is within us all.  The qualities of the Light are always, joy, compassion, power, abundance, grace, and prosperity.  The Light can only to be seen when we are willing to perceive it.  It gives off such an illuminating presence that it is an undeniable, unmistakable likeness that can only be explained as a miraculous presence felt deep within the heart.  This divine Light can only be experienced with an open heart.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, open your heart and be willing to experience the Light.  During your meditation focus on feeling the Light instead of thinking about what it is.  Be open to having an experiential experience instead of an intellectual one.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am the experience of Light that is my being.  The God Presence fuels my life and I am a blessing to all I meet.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: 30 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Gratitude – Day 14 “Release and Let Go”

Today’s Body Connection:  There comes a point in our transformation when we simply need to let go and let the Universe do its thing.  When you have done all you can and you feel stuck, let go of the control.  Let go of what you think you transformation needs to look like.  Let go of the outcome and allow the blessing to surprise you.  Yes, we set our goal weight, but we let go of how we will achieve it.  There are so many ways to drop the inches.  Yes, we want to be stronger, but strength-training comes in different packages.  When we finish working out, there needs to be a symbolic death of the physical practice so that transformation can truly take place.  In yoga, we call the hatha (movement) the practice, and the meditation the actual yoga.  The shavasana, or corpse pose, is the symbolic death of all the work that has come before.  The practice is over, let it go so that you may go out and live your transformation.

Meditative Thought: Affirmative Prayer Step 6 – Release:  Once you have said the prayer, you must release and let it go.  Release the prayer; allow God to be God.  We hold on to our prayers because we don’t have the faith that they will come to fruition.  As long as we hold on tight, the prayer can’t expand, it can’t breathe, it can’t grow.  It goes no further than your mouth.  Our prayers must fly into the cosmos.  “I let go and I let God,” is a mantra that I use all the time. Release is the first step toward serenity.  Turn your cares and worries over to God.  Release is true freedom.  It builds our faith.  We begin to believe that God is in control.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, begin to release your prayer into the Universe so that God can be God.  Journal your experiences. I would love to hear from you.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I release and I let God.  And so it is.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  The reason for exercising the body is to activate freedom within our lives.  When the body hinders us, our “dis-ease” is all we think about.  When de-condition is the way of life, it has a way of dimensioning our hope.  Allow your physical practice the opportunity to improve your quality of life.  You are worth it.  The goal is always to feel better.  Today set the intention to improve your life with a strong physical practice.

Meditative Thought: Affirmative Prayer is the practice of freedom.  When we speak an affirmation or affirmative prayer we choose to co-creation with the Universe.  When we speak with authority we begin to lose the chains of bondage.  Praying to a God outside of us, hoping that a blessing will come…is powerless.  When we realize our oneness with the Universe, we empower our lives.  Affirmative Prayer is the knowing that you have everything you need and that you’re free to live your fullest life.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, pray to a God that lives within you.   Speak to Spirit like you would to an old friend, because it is.  The Universe has been with you since before time, and it will never leave you.

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I pray to God that lives within me.  I am one with infinite Spirit.  I allow my prayers to activate Divine inspiration in my life.  And so it is.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  Yes is more than your consent; it is an agreement to activate greatness within your life.  Look at your physical practice as an opportunity to release mediocrity and an invitation for you to live your greatest life.  Every moment during your workout is a moment that God wants to show up as you.  The only destiny is that the Universe is seeking is to express itself as you.  Will you let it happen?  Will you say yes?

Today’s Meditative Thought: Your yes is the gateway to transformation.  The vibration of yes allows a shift to happen.  Use yes to carry you through.  Say yes to the transformation to your new self.

Today’s Action Plan:  Yes, Yes, Yes…Today, use yes to empower your change, mind, body, and spirit.  Write a journal entry of what it means to say yes to your expansion, and what it looks like.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I say yes, yes, yes.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  The body transformation requires you to be open to new practices.  Your old paradigms have brought you to this desire to shift, but you cannot do it while dwelling on the past.  When we say yes to transformation we must be willing to shift the way we did things in the past.  It is your willingness to change your way of being that will allow you to grow. When you are willing to sacrifice your old habits, you begin to make room for new life expressing itself as you.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  During your transformation, be open to new and wonderful experiences.  The shift will bring forth exciting opportunities to see things differently.  The Universe will become new and Ah-ha moments will be the norm.  You eyes will be opened, and you will never see the world like you used to.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, invite yourself to set aside everything you think you know so that you may have a new experience. Stay open to new and wonderful ways to connect with God.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I am open to a new way of living.  I surrender to God and allow blessings to cushion my footsteps.  And so it is.

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 11 – “Be Clear”

Today’s Body Connection:  When we choose to transform the body-temple, we must be clear about our intentions.  What is it that you want?  I invite you to be clear about the intention.  Sometimes we say, “I just want to get into my skinny jeans,” but it is more than that.  Go deeper.  Go beyond the surface.  Dropping a dress size would be great, but what does that really mean? If you loose the weight, you will feel better, you will be able to do the things you have come to this planet to do.  If you embrace a healthy way of life, you will be more productive and active.  Reducing your blood pressure means you can spend more time enjoying life and less time taking medication to sustain life.   Connect with the “underneath vibration” of the intention for transforming your body-temple.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Be clear about what it is you want.  Transformation requires clarity.  When you are in the midst of a shift, your intention will see you through.  There are challenges and there are bumpy roads, but if you are focused, you can make it through anything.  Change requires ‘work-play’, but it is worth it

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, set your intention for the transformation you desire, and have faith it will be done.  Then actively let it go and let the universe take over.  Take a breath and say, “I release and I let go.” Journal about the release process and any insights you might have.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment… just for this breath, I set the intention to transform into what I am meant to be.  And so it is.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: Transformation – Day 6 – “Surrender to Transformation”

Today’s Body Connection:  So, the initial excitement is gone and you realize how hard it is and how much time is required to transform the body-temple.  Your mind starts to play games, and you hit the “fitness fork in the road.”  What do you do?  You have two choices: give up or surrender to the transformation you said yes to.  Remember, surrender is the opposite of giving up.  Giving up says you have stopped trying and surrendering says you will do what it takes to transform.  Surrendering takes a daily practice, and sometimes it might require a moment-to-moment re-commitment.  But you can always return to your yes.  Surrendering is a requirement for your transformation.

Today’s Meditative Thought: Transformation can only come with surrendering.  Integrate yourself into the divine.  Infuse your being with God.  Operate from the knowing that you are the life of the universe with a grand plan.  Give yourself over to the will of God and allow its power to work as you.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, open up all accesses of your life to God and be the miracle.  When you come upon the fitness fork in the road, stop and be still and surrender.  Your transformation is unfolding right now; embrace it and stay the course. Journal about what it is like to surrender to your journey.  Stay close to the practice.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I give my life over to divine transformation.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 30 – “Life Is Good”

Today’s Body Connection:  “Life is good” is a spiritual principle indicating that our life comes from Source; therefore it is always good.  When we say this affirmation it is the expression of God in its fullness.  When our fitness regime appears to be challenging, we must remind ourselves that life is good.  Move and exercise from that awareness; your energy, attitude, and focus will be elevated and you will be inspired.  Motivation is a key factor when transforming your body-temple.  If we change our outlook, fitness and exercise becomes enjoyable.  If we can inspire ourselves as we work out, we can achieve anything. Remember, your life is what you say it is and the Universe always says yes.  So affirm that the life you live comes from a place of good and your experience will be good.

 

 

Today’s Meditative Thought:  We are what we say we are; our life is what we believe it to be.  If good is what we know to be true, then good is the only thing that is happening.  Can you remember a time when you were overwhelmed with adversity and then someone said the right thing to shift your vibration and perception?  I call it the vibratory takeover.  When we feel the energy of goodness and we allow it to take us over, there will always be a shift.  Today, remember that you can allow good to be your truth and that you are not bound to your situation.

 

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember life is good because we affirm that it is good.  On the top of every hour remind yourself that life is good.

 

 

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that good is my life and my life is good.  And so it is.  Amen

Today’s Body Connection:  When you say yes to health and fitness you will inspire the world.  When you lift yourself up, others will follow.  Set the intention to affect others with how you live your life.  You don’t have to say anything; just live your new life.  When you walk into the gym, walk proud, like you are on a mission.  When you run or walk in your neighborhood, do it with gusto and purpose.  During your training session with your trainer, the person next to you is copying the workout.  What you do today can and will inspire the world to be fit.

Today’s Meditative Thought:  Once we have said yes to the lessons and transformation, energy becomes contagious.  People will be attracted to your radiant power.  They will ask you, “What have you been doing?”  Your family and friends will want to know what is so different about you.   Be aware that it is the divine light of God that is the attraction, their divine light connecting with your divine light that is so divine.  This is known as the power of “Namaste,” the God in you recognizes the God in me.   Allow it to flow and be free.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember we were created to inspire others to be great. Set the intention to radiate inspiration.  Observe your surroundings and journal your experience.

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember that I am transforming my world.  Amen

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT: “Remember” Day 15 – “Low State or High State”

Today’s Body Connection:  Remember, living a healthy life is based on awareness, a divine mindfulness that you cannot separate the mind from the body and the body from the spirit.  It is all connected.  Health and fitness is a higher state of consciousness.  When we eat, we must remember that it is a spiritual experience.  Not only do we pray and thank God for the food we are about to receive, but eating is also about nourishment of the body-temple, home of your spirit.  Our fitness has more than a superficial meaning, if we choose.  There is a difference between working out to know your divinity and working out to get into your skinny jeans.  It’s not about wrong our or right, just different levels of consciousness.  It’s about our awareness and our intentions.  To know your divine self is a high state of consciousness; to drop a dress size or two is a low state of consciousness.  The higher state will always bring us inner peace, while the lower state’s recompense is fleeting and disappointing.  Choose the higher state.

Today’s Meditative Thought: The low state of consciousness is when we are asleep to the greatness that is within ourselves.  The high state of consciousness is when this greatness is activated and in use.  Today is the day we wake up and set the planet ablaze.  It is time to transform our world and it begins with you.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, remember you can be in a low state of consciousness or a high state of consciousnesses.  Today is a day of awareness.  Stay awake!

Today’s Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I remember the time to transform is now.  And so it is.  Amen
