Meditative Thought – Release and Let Go

© M B / Attribution-ShareAlikeFor today’s Meditative though, I am reminded by a lyric from one of my favorite Rickie Byars and Rev Michael Beckwith songs, “I Release and I Let Go”. These lyrics remind me that I need to free myself on a daily basis, sometimes even moment-to-moment, breath-to-breath. 

It also reminds me that we are here for God, to be God as us. When we surrender and allow the Universe to unfold in our lives, as our lives, miracles happen.  Releasing our attachment to anything but God is breaking the chains of slavery.  Ask yourself, “Am I free from things that keep me in bondage, things that do not serve me any longer?” Do sex, food, drugs, alcohol, relationships, and other external vices control you? Are you free from self-sabotage, self-loathing, self-hatred?

The truth is, the Spirit can never be enslaved, hurt, damaged, or changed. The essence of God, which lives within us, is the power that frees us. Today, go within and celebrate the freedom of your Spirit. Know that you are always free in your consciousness. Freedom is a state of mind.  Active your new freedom from people, places, and things and know that the only union that is required is your union with your higher self. 

Monday Meditative Thought – Healing to Revelation

This week we focus on one of the definitions of humility which is to be teachable. 

Sometimes through sickness, heartache, and pain, true transformation happens.  In my experience, some of my greatest revelations have appeared to me when I was experiencing some type of ‘dis-ease.’  The times I laid in bed, body feeling weak, with a slight fever, I could have asked, “God why me?” But I have learned to ask, “What is it you want me to learn from this experience?”  From that point, other questions can be asked, “What’s to be revealed during this time?”  What am I willing to release during this experience?  As Earnest Holmes has written, “There is nothing to heal, only to reveal.”  Our approach to our challenges is key; if we are willing and open to new Ah-Hah moments to take place, they will.  My mother always says, “What doesn’t kill us make us stronger.”  That is only true if we invite revelations through our healings.  And then we can truly know the meaning of “nothing to heal only to insight to be revealed.”

Monday Meditative Thought – Something New To Learn

Monday’s Meditative Thought:

As we start our week, I would like to focus on one of the definitions of humility which is to be teachable. When we remain humble, the Universe will teach us everything we need to know. In every situation we can expand our consciousness and awaken divine knowledge that is within us.  As a spiritual counselor, it is fulfilling to help someone activate personal growth. But the truth is we all have our own guides within ourselves.   Your greatest teacher is you. When we do the spiritual work of meditation, prayer, study, fellowship, and service, we strengthen our relationship with God, which opens our teachable space.  The knowledge of the Universe is within; it just needs to be cultivated.  Any decision or question that needs an answer has a direct connection to your personal guide. It’s like having your own “Bat Phone.” Have faith in your own revelations. Trust that the Universe within you speaks words of guidance and love.  Stay open and set the intention to learn something new everyday.

21 Day Meditation Experience – Day 7

Day 7 – Finding Consciousness

Congratulations! Today, we complete the first week of our journey together. In these few days, we have connected to the core energies of who we really are. As we align with these natural energy currents we open to a life flowing with peace, joy, and fulfillment. By tapping in, one-by-one, we have learned how to directly access our natural state of security, happiness, strength, passion, creativity, and wisdom. These qualities are always present—what you are experiencing this week is the power of your authentic self.

Today we explore our true self as light. Light is around us and within us—it is our guide on the path toward self-realization. Light is what triggers us to wake every morning, allowing us to see . . . dissipating the darkness and shadows. As we open to the light within, we connect to the divine light that illuminates our soul, awakening us to our real Self, and the light that connects all things. We find that we are one light connected to all light, universal connection, and consciousness. As this energy is awakened, there is no more searching or striving. Happy New You and One of Ten Golden Rules for Transformation

The New Year has come! What I say to that, is happy new you. Welcome to the new school of thought from 2014 boo! This is the time I want all of you to think about what are the things that you would like in your life. It can be anything you want, from a new job to a new way of life, whatever your heart desires. You can have it, and you deserve it. I mean it! It all starts with you.

To kick off the New Year in 2014, I have a new book coming out that I would love to share with you all here. The book is called Total Transformation and in this book I go into great detail about my ten principles of transformation and how they can be applied to our everyday lives. I use these principles with my clients and ultimately within my own life. The book will be released sometime this spring and I wanted to share a little preview with you for the next ten weeks.

In each chapter of the book, I give growth work exercises. Feel free to write these down and begin your transformational journey with me each week and pick up the book as well for more growth work and tips.

Success

What is the meaning of success?

            Let’s talk about success. I always say that you have to ask the big questions. Let’s make sure we are thinking big. I want you to think big and remove any limitations.

The big question is: What are your goals, desires and intentions for your life?

            Will these things change? Yes. And as we grow, our desires, goals and intentions will expand and change. This comes from any of the trio: your mind, body or spirit. The thought can be anything from finding a new job, to finding a new love.

Growth work: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?

DAILY TRANSFORMATIONAL NUGGETS FOR THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT:  Surrendering – Day 12 “Surrender and Forgive”

The Body Connection:  It’s time to start again.  So what, you fell off your diet and you haven’t worked out in days.  It’s time to forgive yourself and move on.  When we choose to transform the body, there will always be successes and challenging times.  It does not matter if you fall, it maters that you get up and keep trying.  The body is a temple, housing your essence.  It needs your daily practice.  Health and fitness is your birthright and it is time to claim it.  Surrender your self-sabotage, forgive your shortcomings, and push the restart button.

Meditative Thought: Unforgiveness blocks of the flow of God within our lives.  The only thing holding us back from the fullness of the Universal flow is our inability to forgive others and ourselves.  Transformation begins with love.  We have two choices: we can love ourselves through the transformation or continue to beat ourselves up.  The choice is ours.

Today’s Action Plan:  Today, examine the areas of your life that are in need of forgiveness.  Make the decision to release and move on.  As you explore your life, journal about what you find.  It’s important to remove all your mental and spiritual blocks so your body’s transformation is filled with ease and grace.

 

Affirmation:  Just for this moment…just for this breath, I stand in the spirit of grace and I am forgiven.  My body is the living expression of the Universe.  Amen
